MEMORIAL - Busta
Date: Nov 26, 2004

My husband and I consider it a pleasure to have known this special dog, even though it was for a tragically short period of time.  Nothing could have prepared us for the sight of him when we arrived to pick him up.  He was all skin and bones, so weak he was unable to walk on his own.  We bundled him up and carried him to the car for the hour and a half ride to our wonderful vets office.  He looked up at us with those sad eyes as if to say "thanks".

He was a perfect gentleman in the car.  When we arrived at the vets office, he was immediately taken into loving care by the wonderful staff.  He spent the night, warm and loved. He captured everyone's hearts. Sadly, it was to late for this special little man.  His tumor had spread across his midline and was to advanced to be helped.  The truly tragic part of this story is that two months earlier, this wonderful soul could have been saved.  We then had to make the agonizing decision to end his pain (which was constant at this point).  My husband and I chose to be with him, we felt he deserved his last moments to be filled with love, as I am sure he served his family with love his short six years on this earth.

So please, remember Busta in your hearts, he will always live in ours.
