We are very sad to report the passing of a
boxer that touched our hearts.
It doesn't matter how old these
dear dogs are or how long they have been with you, you still miss them
when they are gone.
In memory of Roxie....
With us just a short
time.
In our hearts forever.
You filled a void-----where many voices weren't heard-----Brought me peace
and love-like a beautiful dove-----I could see your love when you looked
at me-----"Tails a Waggin" you were happy as can be-----I'll never forget
you 'nor will you forget me-----Rest in peace my girl, and watch over
Daddy.
This
next one was written in a Thank You card and left with her later that day.
it was written by my brother-in-law Al.
Dear
Roxie......When you get to doggy heaven hold your head up
high------knowing that you were loved
by a whole lot of people-------most of all your Daddy and Uncle
Al-----Have a nice trip---------we miss you already ---and "thank you" for
coming into your Daddy's life..............Love Uncle
Al
"ROXIE " As much as I knew what I had in you----After you were gone I
realized that there was more I never knew----I made you really happy, I
knew that much----But oh how I wish I could've given you, just one more
touch----Though I gave and did oh so much for you-----What you gave me
back was more than you ever knew----Im sorry I didn't have more time with
you-----But what you taught me in that time, another Boxer will one day
thank you----So when I'm sad and down and missing you-----I'll keep my
"chin" up, the way I taught you----For among the love, friendship and
memories I've got from you----Giving me your "chin" , was the favorite
thing I taught and got from you.
That's it Dawn................A little background on the chin
thing......Early on I was sitting at the kitchen table when my little girl
quietly came up to me and laid her chin across my leg and looked up at me
with the eyes they have.....well I melted......Eventually I taught her to
do that more.......when I was laying down, laying back, sleeping,
whatever.......If she was next to me in any way I would say "chin" and she
laid it across or wherever depending on what position I was in. I loved
that and never realized how much love one could feel with something as "speciale"
as that. Boxers are an amazing breed and I will ONLY have another if and
when someday. Thanks for all you've done for me.........for bringing
"Roxie" into my life at a time when she was OH SO NEEDED, and please share
these sentiments and stories on her memorial site so that others may
cherish what they are oh so lucky to still have.....their friend till the
end...............the "Boxer"
