Clover is enjoying play time now that her leg is fully healed.  She is ready for a forever family of her own!  Please consider adopting this special senior girl.

2/29/16

Clover is back at her foster home.  She had the plate removed, along with three masses.  The surgeon and staff at the vet hospital could not believe she has not been adopted yet.  Clover is such a sweet and loving girl.

2/24/16

Sweet little Clover is having surgery tomorrow to remove the plate in her leg.  This should be the last step to her recovery from her broken leg!

1/25/16

Clover got her cast off last week and her leg has healed well.  She still has some restrictions for a couple more weeks.  The vets are really pleased with her progress.  You can tell she is feeling better each day, as she is becoming much more playful.  Clover loves belly rubs and treats.  We even figured out accidentally that she knows how to shake - Clover kept giving us her leg in the cast to give her treats!  Now that her cast is off, as soon as she sees a treat - she wants to shake your hand.  Clover also knows other commands such as sit and stay.  She is just such a sweet and easygoing girl - we just love her!!

1/14/16

Clover was able to have her cast removed today!  She is still on restrictions for the next month, which include no stairs, no jumping, and being on leash when outside.  Clover will then have an X-ray taken in a month to monitor her healing.  She spent time over Christmas with a cat and showed no interest at all.  Clover is a very mellow and super affectionate girl.

1/03/16

Clover is doing great in her foster home and has been with us for about 3 weeks now.  Her cast is not slowing her down too much and she is getting around very well.  Although she is a little older, Clover still has quite a bit of energy and just wants to play.  We have been keeping her quiet until her leg is healed, but she is anxious to get it removed and start her new life without the cast holding her back.

Clover has met my parent's dog and cat, and was fine with both.  She is also wonderful with our two children, ages 2 and 5 yrs.  She walks well on leash and listens to commands.

Clover shows more of the boxer wiggles every day, and she glimmers with excitement whenever her foster parents enter the room.  If all goes well, she may have her cast removed in the next 2-3 weeks.  It has been wonderful to watch Clover settle in and understand what love and a home are all about.  If you are interested in adopting Clover, apply today!

12/10/15 -

This sweet senior girl was picked up as a stray in PA with a broken leg.  We initially believed that Clover had been hit by a car, but the vet feels this was an untreated break that had occurred 3-6 days ago.  There were no signs of scrapes or bruising that would be evident if she had been hit recently by a car.  Clover did very well with the surgery and is now in a foster home.  She is good with other dogs and very friendly with every new person that she meets.  We will continue to update Clover's page as we learn more about her!  Please consider donating towards Clover's medical care.

If you are interested in adopting this dog, please first read our Adoption Procedure, by clicking on the link at the top of this page, then fill out an online application.

Boxers and Applicants are not matched on a first come, first served basis. Not all applications are approved. On average, it takes between a week and 3 months to adopt a Rescue Boxer to an approved applicant, depending on your personal circumstances and flexibility.

Not every home is the right match for a boxer, and matching Boxers suitable for placement with younger children, other dogs, cats, and special needs, yours and theirs, increases the application review time and adoption time.

And yes, we realize that the Boxer you may have your heart set on, may be adopted before you're approved.   Should your first choices all ready found their forever home, we want you to advise us at your home visit of other dogs you are interested...  Or let us suggest a few that we feel will match your home.  That is what we are good at.   And be happy for the ones that have been placed... and know that there are way too many fantastic dogs waiting in their place.

Our non-profit organization is wholly comprised of hard-working volunteers whose only reward is seeing our wonderful Boxers placed in loving, permanent homes and given another chance for a happy life. Our process may seem slow, but if you are patient, we will try to provide you with a devoted, loving companion - a Boxer.

We hope you feel that the right Boxer is worth waiting for.
