2/24/16 Well, I
have been in my foster home for three weeks now and I love it here! I
have a wonderful foster brother and sister, Murphy and Mystical. My
foster parents are so loving and patient with me. While I was sick for
a few days with an upper respiratory infection, my foster mom would wake up
in the middle of the night and sit next to me, promising I would get better
soon.
Every day I am gaining more confidence, but I am still cautious of new
people and surroundings. I love being right next to my foster siblings
and parents, especially when they let me on their bed. Snuggles and
play time are my favorites!
My foster mom really loves me and I give her kisses every chance I get.
When she comes home from work, I am so excited to see her! I know my
forever family is out there that will be just as kind, loving, and gentle to
me.
The sadness is completely gone from my eyes and I am a happy boy now.
Thank you for giving me a second chance!

Mulligan
has now been neutered and will be ready soon for his forever home. He
needs some time to warm up to new people, but Mulligan is an extremely
affectionate boy once he trusts you. He greets his foster mom every
day with nub wagging and lots of kisses!

Mulligan
has been in his foster home for a week now. He has made himself quite
comfortable and enjoys being around the other dogs. He follows his
foster siblings everywhere, and loves to play and snuggle with them.
Mulligan is extremely playful and affectionate. His goofy side and
confidence is coming out more with each passing day. Mulligan is still
very cautious with strangers and needs time to learn to trust new people.
He was neutered today and is now up to date on all vet care. We will
continue to update his page with his progress.

Mulligan
was transported into rescue this weekend and just arrived at his new foster
home. He is very uncertain of himself, so will require a home with a
lot of patience and who will take things slowly. Mulligan absolutely
loves other dogs and needs a forever home with another dog to help his
confidence. He has acclimated well to his foster parents and they
report Mulligan is a huge love bug! He loves to climb in their laps to
be held and petted. Mulligan has finished all medications and is up to
72 lbs! He will be scheduled for his neuter soon. Once this has
been completed, Mulligan will be ready to find the perfect forever home for
him!

Mulligan
is gaining weight nicely and now absolutely loves human attention.
He particularly enjoys being scratched behind the ears. The vet
indicated that Mulligan is no longer contagious, so he will be arriving soon
at his new foster home!

Mulligan
is doing well in his temporary foster home. He has a good appetite and
takes his medication in canned food. The sarcoptic mange is being
treated with Revolution and he just received his second dose. Mulligan
is much more alert now and is becoming vocal. We are happy he is
finally starting to feel better. He seemed to really enjoy his first
medicated bath. Mulligan's medical expenses are currently around $500
due to his emergency vet treatment. If you can help towards Mulligan's
bills, please consider donating to help this boy with his continued
recovery. We are looking forward to when Mulligan is cleared for
transport and will be able to join AABR!
12/15/15 -
Mulligan and his female companion were discovered at a trash dump and
volunteers tried for weeks to catch them. They were finally able to
catch Mulligan on Sunday evening, but sadly his companion had already passed
away. Mulligan was nudging her and did not want to leave her side.
Once he was pulled away, volunteers took him immediately to the emergency
vet. Mulligan has sarcoptic mange and a secondary skin infection. He
is also slightly anemic, likely from parasites. He began medication
recently to help his skin. Mulligan is very painful to the touch right
now. He received his dewormer and hopefully the other medications will
help him feel better soon. Mulligan is eating well and is being given
an iron supplement. Once he feels better, Mulligan will receive a
medicated bath. He is really enjoying having regular meals and a soft,
warm bed to sleep on.
Mulligan will remain in his temporary foster home until he is no longer
contagious and is cleared for transport. Sarcoptic mange is very
treatable. We are currently looking for a foster home that can give
Mulligan the care he will need once he arrives in rescue. |
