Casper is still looking for his forever home.  He is doing well with free run in the house.  Casper is very energetic and needs a secure fence to run in daily.  He does well with older children and loves to snuggle with his humans. If you have a home that is a match for this handsome and playful boy, apply today to adopt Casper.

Casper has been in his new foster home for almost two weeks now and is doing great!  His foster family reports that Casper is a wonderful dog who has a lot of puppy energy and is very playful.  He loves the boys in his foster home, especially his foster dad.  Casper is a great cuddler.  He doesn't realize his size, though, because he always wants to sit in your lap!  Casper should be placed with an active family who can provide continued training and attention.  He would do well with a very submissive female or as an only dog.  This boy just needs a stable, forever home.  Apply today if you feel you are a good match for Casper!

8/10/16

Casper just arrived at his new foster home.  He is very energetic and loves to play.  Casper will need continued training regarding appropriate interactions with the other dogs in the home.  He loves his people and is very affectionate.  Casper is crate trained and housebroken.  If you can provide a forever home for Casper, apply today!

7/12/16

Casper is in need of a new foster home.  He will only be placed with a fenced yard.  Casper would do best with a young female dog that can keep up with him, or a very active home if he will be an only dog.  Casper should not be placed with young children or cats.  If you can offer a foster or forever home for Casper, apply today for this handsome boy!

Casper has settled in nicely and has adjusted great to his new foster family.  He is very playful and absolutely loves squeaky toys.  Casper is a huge goofball and makes us laugh and smile each day.  He enjoys climbing up in our laps and wants to snuggle and give hugs.  Casper is housebroken and will let you know when he needs to go out.  He goes into his crate without any issues.  Casper is very treat motivated.  We just adore this happy go lucky boy!!

6/05/16

Casper is settling in well at his foster home.  He is an extremely energetic boy, so should be placed in a home with a fenced yard and a young dog that can keep up with him.  Casper needs an experienced home that can continue to work on his obedience and manners. Apply today if you feel you are the right fit for Casper!

5/29/16

Casper has been returned to rescue to find a home that is a better match.  He would do best in a home without small children, as he gets very worked up and has not learned how to control that excitement yet.

Casper's previous home indicated he is a wonderful dog.  He is great on walks, quickly learned his boundaries of the invisible fence, loves going to doggy daycare, and is wonderful with other dogs.  He has learned all of his obedience commands at training (sit, down, leave it, stay, off, etc.).  Casper absolutely loves to snuggle, both with people and other dogs.  He is completely housebroken and lets you know when he needs to go out.  He is also crate trained.

Casper just arrived at his new foster home and is settling in well.  He loves having the other two boxers to play with.  Casper is very high energy, but he is still young.  He needs a home that has enough time and attention  to provide him with consistent exercise and training.  Casper will only be placed with a fenced yard and another active dog companion.

Casper is doing great in his foster home!  He is a very smart boy and knows sit.  Casper is also starting to give his paw.  He is almost completely housebroken and now understands the command to go out.  Casper is a playful boy and will need a young female dog that can keep up with his energy level.  Casper would also do best in a home with a fenced yard where he can run daily.  Apply today to adopt this sweet boy - we are surprised that he hasn't been scooped up yet!

1/25/16

Casper is continuing to make a lot of progress in his foster home.  He is doing great with housetraining.  Casper gets along well with both other dogs and loves to cuddle with his foster mom.  He has had a great time playing in the snow.  When he comes inside, he enjoys relaxing in front of the fireplace.  If you have the time and environment for a puppy this age, apply today to adopt Casper!

1/19/16

Casper is settling in really nicely at his foster home.  His foster mom is working on his manners and his house training.  Casper is a very sweet and playful boy.  His female foster sister has taken him under her wing like a mom.

1/14/16

Casper arrived at his new foster home yesterday.  He gave the 10 yr old child kisses the whole way home!  Introductions went really well with the two other dogs, a male and a female.  His foster mom feels he may be younger than 11 months.  Casper is still very much a puppy and needs to learn some basic manners, but he is very food motivated and eager to learn.  We will update his page once his foster family gets to know him better.

1/10/16 -

Casper was found as a stray and estimated to be around 11 months old.  When evaluated at the shelter, Casper demonstrated appropriate play and was very comfortable around the other dogs.  He will be neutered this week and will then be arriving at his new foster home.  We will post better pictures and more information once his foster family gets to know him better.

If you are interested in adopting this dog, please first read our Adoption Procedure, by clicking on the link at the top of this page, then fill out an online application.

Boxers and Applicants are not matched on a first come, first served basis. Not all applications are approved. On average, it takes between a week and 3 months to adopt a Rescue Boxer to an approved applicant, depending on your personal circumstances and flexibility.

Not every home is the right match for a boxer, and matching Boxers suitable for placement with younger children, other dogs, cats, and special needs, yours and theirs, increases the application review time and adoption time.

And yes, we realize that the Boxer you may have your heart set on, may be adopted before you're approved.   Should your first choices all ready found their forever home, we want you to advise us at your home visit of other dogs you are interested...  Or let us suggest a few that we feel will match your home.  That is what we are good at.   And be happy for the ones that have been placed... and know that there are way too many fantastic dogs waiting in their place.

Our non-profit organization is wholly comprised of hard-working volunteers whose only reward is seeing our wonderful Boxers placed in loving, permanent homes and given another chance for a happy life. Our process may seem slow, but if you are patient, we will try to provide you with a devoted, loving companion - a Boxer.

We hope you feel that the right Boxer is worth waiting for.
