2/17/16

Rosa is still looking for her forever home.  She is housebroken, loves her crate, and is just a super boxer girl.  Rosa gets along well with her foster brother and with children of all ages.  She is simply the best - apply today to adopt Rosa!

1/31/16

Included are two new pictures of Rosa.  She is doing great in foster!  Rosa is wonderful with both children and other dogs.  She is ready for her forever home.

1/19/16

Rosa continues to improve every day in foster.  She now walks well on a leash and enjoys going to the park.  Rosa is housebroken and sleeps in her crate at night.  She is also crated if left alone.  Rosa really loves attention and is so happy around the kids.  She is learning a lot from our boxer, Dozer.

Rosa does require a lot of patience as she continues to get used to living in a home as opposed to the puppy mill.  She would do best in a home with another dog.  Rosa got a bath yesterday and was a little scared at first, but she looks and feels so much better now!  Rosa has been a great foster dog and we love having her until she finds her forever family!

1/14/16

Rosa is doing great in her foster home.  As you can see, she loves the kids!  Rosa is great with other dogs and is an all around wonderful girl.  She is housebroken and loves to go for walks.  Rosa also really enjoys car rides.  She has left the mill behind for good!  Rosa is fully vetted and ready for her forever home.

1/10/16 -

Rosa was surrendered to AABR from a puppy mill.  She was very unsure of everything at the vet's office.  Rosa had ear mites, a dental (including a tooth pulled), and her vaccines.  She was also spayed and microchipped.  Rosa has arrived at her new foster home and is settling in well.  She couldn't handle the stairs, but had no problem claiming the sofa.  She is going to catch on quickly to life inside a loving home.

If you are interested in adopting this dog, please first read our Adoption Procedure, by clicking on the link at the top of this page, then fill out an online application.

Boxers and Applicants are not matched on a first come, first served basis. Not all applications are approved. On average, it takes between a week and 3 months to adopt a Rescue Boxer to an approved applicant, depending on your personal circumstances and flexibility.

Not every home is the right match for a boxer, and matching Boxers suitable for placement with younger children, other dogs, cats, and special needs, yours and theirs, increases the application review time and adoption time.

And yes, we realize that the Boxer you may have your heart set on, may be adopted before you're approved.   Should your first choices all ready found their forever home, we want you to advise us at your home visit of other dogs you are interested...  Or let us suggest a few that we feel will match your home.  That is what we are good at.   And be happy for the ones that have been placed... and know that there are way too many fantastic dogs waiting in their place.

Our non-profit organization is wholly comprised of hard-working volunteers whose only reward is seeing our wonderful Boxers placed in loving, permanent homes and given another chance for a happy life. Our process may seem slow, but if you are patient, we will try to provide you with a devoted, loving companion - a Boxer.

We hope you feel that the right Boxer is worth waiting for.
