MEMORIAL - Cooper
It is with great sadness that we have to report the loss of a boxer that touched our hearts.
Date: September 11, 2009

It is with a broken heart that I write to tell you that Cooper passed away.  The vet thinks he had boxer cardiomyopathy, which is a hidden heart condition that strikes many healthy boxers suddenly.  We are in shock and trying to remember the good times, but it is very, very hard right now.  He was the love of my life - the first animal I ever had that was truly "my own".  He taught me how to love with my whole heart and was truly like a son to me in so many ways.  I am so blessed to have had the time that I did with him, although as always, it is never enough.

For all the children that came to my home for lessons that loved him, he loved them even more.  He would get so excited when they would come, that he would regularly open the door with his nose to the guest room (a trick that I did not teach him!), break out and run to give them kisses!  Thanks to all that loved him and were so kind and gentle with him.  I know you will miss him as much as I do, and the house will seem so strange without him peering over the baby gate, listening to the singing, as he loved to do.

We are trying to take comfort in the fact that he is reunited with his love, Cheyenne, once more and that they are up to their old tricks together.

With love,
Lisa and Diron

Each Boxer leaves paw prints on your heart. Cooper will be missed.
