Carmine My foster mom picked me up from the
shelter and I beat the clock. I have now been with my foster family
for about 3 weeks……they love me. It was hard at first, I did not want to
eat, play or wrestle. I was tired. (Shelter life was tough) Just like a
Christmas miracle I started feeling better. I was a new man, I felt rested,
loved and safe.
I weigh about 60 lbs. My foster mom says that once I
gain a little more weight all the boxer girls at the park are going to love
me. (Hello Ladies!)
I now love to go for walks, take car rides, play with
my squeaky toys & especially nap. (I snore!) I do pull sometimes on my walk
because I try to keep up with my foster sister, but I am working on it.
I take treats like a gentleman and I don’t steal food. I can sit and give
paw. I am submissive and I like my belly rubbed when I flip over. I have had
3 accidents in the house (once was after I was neutered and on medication so
that doesn’t count) The others….well what does it mean when you sit at the
back door? My foster parents missed those times.
I love peanut butter and gravy on my food. My foster
mom puts peanut butter on my nose and I lick it off (Yummy!)
I really, really love to give kisses. My foster
grandpop says that if I were a superhero my tongue would be my secret
weapon. (Look out!) I also have a continuous boxer wiggle and the
fastest moving stump in South Jersey.
I get along with other dogs. (Believe me…if I can get
along with my foster sister I am good to go with others….what a B----!)
My vet says that I am around 5 - 6 years old. Well my
response to that: You ladies would not pass up Tom Selleck or Sean Connery
would you! (Men only get better with age!)
I recently had a mass removed from my gumline. It was
called a Ossifying Epulis. All tests came back negative (A clean bill
of health!)
Please don’t overlook me because I am older. I am a
great dog. Calm, friendly, cozy and loving. Whether you are a fan of
Growing up Gotti or The Big Ragu, I am the Carmine for you!

Carmine is a 4-5 yr old male flashy
boxer boy. He is very sweet and easy going. We are taking him from a PA
shelter and will get him vetted and up to date on shots and neutered. He is
very calm and gentle and wants to get into a home ASAP. We will put him in
foster with a female boxer and will learn more about him in the next few
days.
