George
Meet George! George is a fawn and white, 3 yr old male
boxer weighing approximately 70lbs. He is currently living with a female
boxer and they get along great. George loves to go for walks and I must
say, he is fabulous on a leash. If you walk, he walks right beside you, if
you jog, he trots right along side of you. George is also a good watch
dog. If a stranger is at your door, George will certainly let you know
that there is company. George is also housetrained. He has no problem
being alone for eight hours if need be. He sleeps through the
night. George likes to sleep in our bed with us, or in the spare bedroom
on the bed, or sometimes he sleeps out in the living room on the floor or
couch. George knows some commands such as sit, stay, and heel, and catch.
You can always count on George to catch any treats that are thrown his
way. However, he sometimes needs a treat to sit. He likes to play with
toys but would sometimes prefer to have them all to himself, rather than
sharing. George is not your typical high-energy boxer. He has been very
calm since we've had him. He likes to eat, sleep and lay around
the house. He plays well with our female boxer, but she is the one
that provokes play; I think he could take it or leave it.
However, George was not too thrilled
about meeting our 3-4 year old neighbor boy. I've been told that George
is great with older kids, 7 and up, but we're unsure about smaller
children. Although George gets along well with other dogs, I think he
would prefer being the only dog in the family. That way, he wouldn't have
to share toys or food, or the owner's attention. George is extremely
lovable and would love to think that he is a lap dog. He loves to give
kisses and big bear hugs. He's very sweet and given the chance, he will
snuggle with you all day and night. Please consider this adorable boy for
your forever home.
