Tara
Tara's story is one we have to deal with way too often.
Tara and her sister Ella were picked up at a PA puppy mill. When the
breeders are finished with a dog they either auction them to other puppy
mills or worse. These two dogs were given to us though a shelter. The
farmer/puppy mill operator MADE the shelter pay for the dogs. The farm where
we went to rescue these dogs is huge. It is a very profitable farm BUT they
still breed dogs in the barn. This mill does a lot of Boxers and the dogs
live in a horse barn on hay.
Please tell your friends not to buy puppies at pet stores. Shelters,
reputable breeders, and rescues are the way to go.
Tara and Ella will be spayed this week. They need to be placed in a foster
or permanent home by Friday since all the kennels we know are full.
Theses dogs do not have to be placed together.
If you are interested in adopting this dog, please fill out an
online application first. Then e-mail the contacts below. Be sure to include your full name, city,
state, and area code in the subject line of your message.
