Roxy is a WONDERFUL DOG! I can't say enough wonderful
things about her - and everyone she meets comments on her good nature and
sweet face! She is good with other dogs, people, and cats. Her little tail
wags a mile a minute when you talk to her and she is very good at fetch.
She happily shares food and toys with our boxer Taz.
We took her camping this weekend with 4 other dogs and
2 other couples which she loved. Even amidst all of the excitement of lots
of other dogs and fields to run around and a river to wade in Roxy was very
attentive. She responds immediately - as soon as you call her she comes
bouncing back to you full of smiles.
Roxy is great at hugs and cuddles. She is a gentle
soul who wants to please and be loved. She can be left alone in the house
and just sleeps on her bed until you get back. She doesn't have a single
bad habit - she is a truly sweet, good dog!
08/24/05 - From her Foster
Mom
Roxy is a real sweetheart. She is a very calm girl with a
big heart. For all that she has been through in the last few weeks she's
got a great attitude!
She was happy to be in the car and pretty quickly was giving us kisses
from the backseat. She rides well and seems to enjoy being in the car.
She's really responsive and very obedient. She will do whatever you ask of
her and knows all the regular doggie commands like sit, stay, paw, and
come. She's also crate-trained and very good about going in to the crate
when you ask. She is eating well - she ate a full dinner last night and
breakfast this morning.
Roxy has come out of her shell a bit since leaving the kennel and is very
responsive to us and Taz. We introduced her to another boxer and a bulldog
this morning and she was very friendly but didn't want to play very much.
She is interested in sniffing our cat Tilly but doesn't chase him or want to
play with him. I think she still needs some quiet time and a lot of love
before she is feeling confident enough again to play. Loud noises make her
nervous and she walks in circles until she settles down again, and being
outside sometimes seems a little overwhelming to her (she seems to feel safe
in the backyard and really likes it but on the sidewalk she just wants to go
back in the house).
Her little tail wiggles like crazy when you talk to her and if you are
sitting or standing she does the "boxer lean" against you. She really just
wants to be near us - she's quite a love!
Here are some pictures. Wanted to let you know that all is well and I'll
keep you updated.
