Gretta Meet Gretta! She is a love of a little girl. She was surrendered by a
family that said they did not want to take care of her anymore and
surrendered her to a high kill shelter. She lived with little children
and was used to living in a home until the day came when the humans got
tired of feeding and taking care of her.
Gretta is now at the kennel. I went to the awesome kennel that takes such
great care of AABR's dogs while they wait to get into a foster home. I
have to say a HUGE Thank you" to Bruno and his wonderful staff! Without a
group of people like the staff there we could not help the dogs we
do! When they are thin like Gretta they bring in home cooked meals for
our rescued dogs. They may get ground turkey and brown rice or chicken!
When I took Gretta out of the run she was so scared and just shaking like
a leaf. She had no idea what had happened and why she was there.
After snuggling with her for a while I got a little lick on the hand!
Soon after that she was sitting in my lap and was happy as a little clam.
I stayed for as long as I could then I had to put her back in her run.
She melted me with her sad eyes. As I left, I looked back often and saw
that she never took her eyes off me. She is the sweetest little peanut
and I'm sure she would melt your heart. PLEASE tell AABR you are going to
treat her like a princess and give her the loving home she deserves!
Gretta will thank you with every kiss, every boxer wiggle and every little
tail dance!
