09/16/06 - Beating the odds...
Ariel is doing great! She just recently went
back to the vet for her 6 month check up. Her kidney levels are stable and
not increasing which is wonderful for a dog with kidney failure. The vet
said that the part of her kidneys that are still functioning are very
healthy and that is all we can ask for.
When you look at Ariel she shows no
signs that she is sick or was dealt a bad hand in life. She is the absolute
happiest dog I have ever met and she has more energy then our other boxer.
She has the best boxer wiggle and gives the best nose kisses! She absolutely
loves her green cuz toy and you rarely see her without it.
We recently found out that she loves
to swim when we went to visit my parents in upstate pa. She is an absolute
blessing to us and I wouldn't trade her in for all the healthy dogs in the
world!
Ariel is beating all the odds
according to her vet and she will be with us a lot longer then anyone every
thought.
01/29/06 - Ariel is in
a forever foster home with her foster family but we can still use your help.
It is with great sadness that I write that Ariel
is a victim again. She was not only dumped by her original family at a high
kill shelter but her old owner never vetted her properly and never took care
of the Lymes disease or bladder infections that she had. Sadly this neglect
has cause her to have holes in her kidneys. She is just now getting
healthier but its too late. Her sweet life is going to be cut short because
of this.
A super first time foster family is taking care
of her and giving her the best home she has ever had. This way she
gets to live her short life in a loving home. Please help us with her care.
In order for Ariel to be properly diagnosed, she had to undergo many
expensive tests. We had to take
her to the University of Pennsylvania for tests, ultrasound and other costly
vetting. Her care has cost us over $2,000. Please help us keep her going for
life. Thanks so much. Ariel is a super dog she will thank you every day she
can.

Ariel is an adorable brindle girl w/ a dark face and
the most expressive eyes you'd ever want to see. She is
approximately 1 yr old and needs to gain some weight (currently 44
pounds). She is a little lovebug and loves to lay by your feet or
chase her toys or just be near you. She follows me throughout the
house and has not touched a thing.
The previous owners gave her up due to allergies and
had many good things to say about her. They reported that she is good
with children, cats and other dogs. She is active, but not hyper.
She lived with a newborn and a toddler and has met my 10 yr old niece and
had nothing but kisses for her. She knows sit, down, and give paw....
although sometimes a treat is needed to prompt her....:).
This beautiful little bundle of love deserves to be
treated like a princess and is going to make someone a wonderful lifetime
companion....Is that you?
