DUKE
It is with much sadness that we must announce the sudden loss
today of Duke.
Duke was only in
rescue for 3 short weeks, but in those 3 weeks he became a part of my
family; sleeping in my bed, waiting each morning to have his sweet face
washed, and letting me know when dinner was late.
He loved to lay in the sunshine and woke me each day with a soft
nudge with his nose.
Good bye my sweet
hero – you can rest now knowing that you will always be loved.
Each
Boxer leaves paw prints on our heart.
In memory of
Duke
.... In our hearts forever. |

01/25/06 - Duke
Well folks, there is just no limit
to what people will do. How about a wonderful boxer boy, faithful,
loving, devoted, spending his entire 8 years with one family and then for
whatever reason, they just dump him. This poor guy has no idea why his
life has been turned upside down.
He is the gentlest, calmest, sweetest guy you would want to meet.
Perfectly housetrained, crate trained, well-mannered, I could go on and on
about what a great dog he is.
The wonderful folks at the shelter said they let him hang out at the
administration house as he was such a good boy. They said he got along
great with the other dogs and was ok with the cats. They also said he
was great with all people and kids. There was not a single bad thing
they could say about him. When I called to ask about him, I happened
to get the admin's office and he was laying in her office. She called
to him while on the phone with me and he just came over to her and put his
head on her lap. She even took him home some nights during the week so
he would not have to be alone and confused in a kennel. They really
liked this boy and felt he was very special.
We promised to find him the best of homes and WE WILL! He deserves to
spend his wonderful senior years being loved and cherished. If
you have that love to give and can promise this boy that you will be his
forever home, please fill out and application and ask for Duke!
