05/05/06 - I
just want to give an update on our dear little Mopsie. Sadly her prognosis
is not good. We have been searching for answers for weeks as to what is
causing her bloody stool. Finally, thru a biopsy and scoping procedure,
we've learned that she has cancerous tumors in her bowel. Too many to do
surgery on, and chemo wouldn't help. She's on medication daily to try and
shrink the tumors and buy her some quality time.
Thankfully Adopt a Boxer Rescue has footed her medical bills even though
she's not a boxer. Not many would do that for her. She will remain with Jim
and I, and her little buddies, Beasely, Fluffy and Buster, and her boxer
pal, Otis. We will keep her happy and comfortable as long as possible. Thank
you all for your inquiries and your concern. gail
02/24/06 - On Hold pending
Medical Evaluation
This little girl is having a tough time of
it. She's experiencing some medical problems which we are actively trying
to get to the bottom of. She's been through a lot of testing and probing,
and we still aren't done yet. Evidently, this is one of the reasons her
owners decided to give her up.
Even though
she's gone thru many vet visits, her disposition remains sweet, and we
remain hopeful that her health will improve soon.
Her medical
bills are mounting, and any help would be very appreciated.

Mopsie is a 4 yr old
Lhasa Apso. She is getting spayed on Wed. She is up to date on shots and
will be heartworm tested and put on preventative. Her owners got rid of
her because they said she is a high maintenance dog and they are looking
for a low maintenance dog. Mopsie is very sweet and friendly. She lived
with cats and is friendly towards other dogs.
