We are ever so sorry to report that Addie's front leg must be removed.  Addie was seen by a specialist who recommended her leg be removed.  He agreed with the wonderful rescue friendly vet named affectionately, DR. LIZ.  Dr Liz had taken X-rays and concluded that the most humane thing to do for Addie is to remove the leg as it is beyond repair.  Dr. Liz said it was an injury from when Addie was a very small puppy.  If someone had gotten her medical at the time her leg could have been repaired but since they did not and chose instead to dump her at a kill shelter. It is too late and the leg can not be saved.

Once removed, Addie will learn in no time to run and play on three legs.  She is still a puppy which is a real plus for her.  The best part is that for the first time since the injury she will be pain free.  Addie will need a nice foster or adoptive home where she can recover and learn to walk on three legs.  I am asking that someone out there PLEASE PLEASE help this little girl.  She is still in the kennel and is in dire need of a foster home.  She will be operated on Monday March 6th.  Please give this love bug a home she can call her own.

Addie is a happy little girl!  She is being evaluated now because she walks with a limp.  She will most likely have to undergo a full work up from an orthopedic specialist.

She loves everyone and every dog she has met!  As soon as we learn about her front leg we will update you.  Addie was found as a stray and as a result will not be placed with young children.

She seems to just be so happy with everything!

Taking an easy dog from someone who has to move and rehoming him/her is not a huge challenge. The challenge is transporting and caring for dogs like Marshall, Dude, and Hutch, and now Addie. The challenge is finding the funds to help the dogs in need of medical care.

Thatıs where YOU come in. We need donations to cover the medical bills for these special dogs. Remember we get no public or private funding. We rely on adoption fees and your donations to cover our expenses.
