Beamer is doing well and loving life. He relishes his daily walks in the
park, but also enjoys staying home in the air conditioning and chewing on a
bone. Beamer just loves everyone that he meets on our walks, he will gently
nuzzle up to you and just let you pet him; he especially likes when children
stop to pet him.
Everyone who meets Beamer says "wow, what a great dog! How come he
hasn't been adopted yet?" - Beamer hasn't given up hope that his perfect
forever family will come along soon.

Beamer
continues to do well in foster care. He has put on some weight, and is
looking rather handsome - we get compliments wherever we go.
Beamer has learned so much in his short stay here- he has "sit" and
"down" down pat. He has also learned leash manners, and walks nicely
without pulling. He now sits patiently while i prepare his
breakfast/dinner, and will not go for it till I tell him "OK!"
Beamer had the pleasure of meeting some children at the park the other
day...he was absolutely in heaven getting scratches and pats from all of
them. Yesterday he met my 3 yr old nephew - he was a good boy and gave my
nephew kisses. He also met my friend's Great Pyrenees and my brother's
Boston Terrier. He was a happy guy with both introductions. He is also
fine with my boxer girl.
The cutest thing Beamer does is his "happy dance" - this is not just the
regular boxer wiggle, but he full on tap dances his front feet when he is
happy. Too cute!!
Beamer is also super easy to groom, doesn't mind baths, nail trimmings,
or ear cleanings. Nothing really fazes this little guy.
Beamer is an all around great dog who just wants to be loved and part of a
family.

Beamer is just one of the happiest dogs I have ever met. He just loves
people! He is much more like a puppy then he is like a 6 yr old. This boy
has wiggles and energy to spare. He has a super sweet mush face, and a full
tail that never stops wagging. All this little fella wants is a person to
love him, and he will curl up right beside you to ensure that you don't
forget to pet him.
Although he is currently on the skinny side, he has quite an appetite,
and will fill out in no time. As with a puppy, Beamer needs someone to help
him learn basic canine manners. He already knows "sit" and has quickly
learned that he must "sit" to get served dinner. Last night we worked on
"come" and "down" - boy does he learn fast when treats are involved! He is
excellent in a crate, and will hang out there when you can't be with him, no
problem.
He seems to be housebroken, and we have had no accidents. He loooves
walks, and we are working on leash manners. I don't think that Beamer knows
what a toy is- when I threw a ball for him in the yard, he decided he would
rather stay by me and get scratches then to go get the ball. We are unsure
of Beamer's thoughts on other dogs or cats. We are doing slooow intro's with
the resident dog, as she's not so happy to have to share her humans.
Beamer wants nothing more then have a person pet him and love him up.
Won't you be that person?

Beamer
is now in a foster home.

Foster home needed desparately!
Poor Beamer is still sitting in the kennel waiting for some kind person to
give him a chance. PLEASE give Beamer a warm loving home. He is a
sweetheart and deserves to have the best in life! We try to keep the
stay in our kennel as short as possible.
2/18/06 - Meet Beamer
Poor Beamer was an owner surrender, but the owner would not even give the
shelter staff his name, so we named him Beamer. He is a beautiful ray of
light alright!
The ex-owners just said they did not want to take care of him anymore.
We hear this all too often. The kennel staff loves him and he seems to be a
really sweet gentleman. We will update the page when we learn more about
him. Please open your hearts and your home to this great guy!
If you are interested in adopting this dog, please fill out an
online application first. Then e-mail the contacts below. Be sure to include your full name, city,
state, and area code in the subject line of your message.
