This weekend Joe, Riley and I headed
out to the dog park which is now one of Joe's favorite places. He loves to
run and play. He plays well with other dogs, both large and small and is
very good at fetch. I have never seen a 7yr old dog run and play as much!
Joe is also very good with kids and always gives many kisses. He truly likes
being around people and I can always find him close by when we are at home.
He is a people dog!

Joe is full of energy, and very well behaved. He has enjoyed his new toys
and getting to know my cousin and I. He loves to go on walks and does not
pull on the leash at all. When I leave the house I put him in the crate, but
when anyone is home he has full range of the house. He mostly sticks close
by and is very happy just to curl up beside you.
Joe is so loving that it breaks my heart that someone actually left
him! Joe is also very smart. He knows commands and our routine for going
outside. At night he sleeps next to my bed in front of the heating vent -
smart cookie!

Boxer Joe is a 7 yr old boxer boy who
was in a kill shelter in OH. We just could not let this guy die in a
shelter. His old owner moved with their other dog and left boxer Joe at
the shelter. They said they could only take one dog. Lucky for Boxer Joe
that they did leave him behind. He was un-neutered and loaded with hook
and whip worms. The home that had him was not a good one.
Now we are looking for that special
person to come forward and adopt poor Joe. Joe lived with kids over 8 and he
is good with other dogs. We are unsure on cats. Boxer Joe is thin and needs
a home that will give him some loving and TLC. He was in this shelter for
months. No rescue would take him. They are all full. We are full but dead is
forever. Please help us help Boxer Joe.

Meet
Boxer Joe. He is a very thin, sweet, and very tiny brindle male that
needs someone to love and hold him. We had some time before meeting
his foster mom so we stopped by to see Ziggy and Bob. They are both so
happy! Ziggy really liked Boxer Joe and gave him kisses after doing the
usual sniff test stuff. Boxer Joe is not a dominant dog and was a bit
scared but his stumpy tail was still wagging as Ziggy was trying to get
him to play.
We
met his foster mom at a park in Mt. Lebanon so that she could introduce her
dog to Boxer Joe. Her dog seemed to be excited about having a new
playmate. Boxer Joe’s tail was also wagging. We followed Jennifer over to
her house with Boxer Joe in our car to see if her dog would have any issues
regarding a new dog in the home. They seemed to get along very well.
