Justice
Justice – a very beautiful
name for such a sweet little girl, but where was the “justice” when her
family abandoned her and a little Chihuahua at an overcrowded shelter
because “they didn’t want them anymore”. The family was moving into a new
house and dog hair was not part of their decorating scheme so off to the
pound they went to dispose of Justice and her little buddy.
Justice is a very friendly,
4 year old, fawn female, with a beautiful Boxer smile. She sat patiently
in the front seat of my vehicle while we were waiting for the shelter staff
to bring out the male I was picking up also. Everyone who walked by noticed
her and she was loving it, it was as though she was saying “woo hoo, they
are all paying attention to me” – such a personality this little girl has.
Once we started driving, she curled up in the seat and slept most of the
trip. She traveled well, but wasn’t much company.
Everyone at the shelter
said what a sweetheart she is – she loves running, jumping and playing, and
she liked the other dogs in the shelter. Fortunately for her she didn’t
know her days there were numbered and her time was almost up. What an
‘injustice’ it would have been for her life to have ended that way.
Justice is now looking for
a real family, one who knows and understands that animals are an important
part of the family and are not disposable objects – and in return she will
be a loving, loyal companion and a real treasure to her new family.
