Pepsi is just wonderful.
Greets everyone at the door
with tail a waggin and
oh so happy to see you...
Pepsi plays with toys now,
hops all around like a clumsy
ballerina at times, it is so pleasant to see.
He gets neutered tomorrow,
although he really hasn't been a problem
with my female boxer.
Gives her kisses and try's to make her
play with him. She is a bite older. I get a little teary
when I think how attached he has become and
soon will be in a forever home,
but I know he is so ready for love and to give it back 10 fold.
Pepsi has run of the house and is housebroken.
He is just happy, loves play time, loves walks, and
kisses... sits in the car like I am driving him to the
next best thing in his life.
Last time it was a carvel ice cream cone...
Please open your heart to this
wonderful companion, you won't regret it.
6/04/06 - New Picks
Pepsi needs a new foster by the 15th of June as the foster is going on
vacation
5/31/06
Pepsi is doing great. He is finished his Heartworm medication and is putting the pounds on. New pictures will show an improvement but can't show the energy and jest for life this guy has. He doesn't know how to play with toys but people he LOVES. He spends his out of the crate time in the house, 1 hour at a time since he is still on rest orders , but loves his freedom and interaction with my female boxer and me. Listens to sit, stay, gives kisses... Walks wonderfully on a leach. Very proud and walks at whatever pace you walk, doesn't tug or wander. Pepsi is doing fine so far and getting ready for his forever home.
5/14/06 - He found his Hero!
Now in Foster and undergoing
treatment for heartworm.
Pepsi is a joy. It must be difficult for him to get accustomed to a
new name, location, caregiver, and boxer companion - but you would never
know it. Lots of wiggles, kisses, and dances. He is so lovable,
leans into you ..lays his head on your lap or chest for love.. would
absolutely be a couch or bed buddy given the chance. I say given the
chance because now he must be crated for his own sake during his heartworm
treatment. He goes in and out gracefully, no hesitation. Enjoys his
time out in the yard for relieving himself. No accidents in the crate.
Definitely housebroken. Good with the kids. Good with my female boxer,
although not being neutered yet - he shows some interest in her. she
stares him down and he moves on. Doesn't bark. No anxiety separation issues.
He has just settled in and so grateful for his food, home, and LOVE.
I don't know how he became a stray but someone's loss or throw away can
become another person's gift of love and companionship. He needs quiet
for now, a few pounds on a slim frame, and the knowledge that he is safe and
loved.
4/26/06 - Pepsi
Pepsi was found as a stray and after his full vet exam, has turned out to
be heartworm positive. He will need a quiet foster or forever home after
his treatment until the medications have been completed. He will need to
have his activities limited and be leash walked for 6 to 8 weeks.
Please open your heart to this very sweet gentleman! A foster or forever
home must be found before treatment can begin because he can not go back to
the kennel where he is now. It is not quiet there and he must be kept
calm. More than anything it is too stressful on this poor guy. He will
repay you for helping him with all the best Boxer qualities!
