Sailor is in a foster home now after many months in a kennel. We are
so short on foster homes, and most boxers don't do well in kennels, but
without fosters it is the only way to save as many as we do.
Sailor needs exercise and a little
training. He's a high energy, exuberant boy who loves to be on the go with
his people and a home where someone is around for part of the day for
regular walks and play would best suit his needs.
Sailor is a naturally strong willed
guy and like many boxers will do best with people who can be a good
authority figure for him: calm, confident and consistent.
After some exercise and as a reward for
his daily short training sessions, Sailor gives wonderful kisses and enjoys
his down time with his foster parents. He loves his new bed and just
loves when you cover him up at night.
If you think that you could be a great
pack leader for Sailor, maybe you could be Sailor's skipper.

Sailor is the sweetest dog. He is good boy on the leash and has no problems
following me around. He sits and downs for me when I ask him to with very
little coaxing. He is intelligent and a good home will bring this out in
him.
When I play with him and sit in the grass he is quick to sit in my lap or
stand close in order to get my full attention. He loves to be petted and he
has the softest coat of any boxer. He is a joy to pet! He is a handsome
fellow, as his picture shows, and a good yard for him to play in and some
good food will help him fill out even more nicely. He is for a family that
only wants one dog as he doesn’t get along well with other dogs. But he
loves humans!

Sailor is still waiting for someone to give him a chance, a real chance.
You see, Sailor was beaten up often by the other intact dogs in his previous
home and and as a result he is afraid of and does not get along with other
dogs. You can't blame him can you?
He is a very good boy. Sailor needs a home with a fenced in yard he can
call his own. The volunteer who is taking him for walks at the kennel said
he is a total joy! She plays and walks him away from other dogs and he is
fine!
Please give Sailor a chance to have a home of his own. COMMITTED
humans only need apply. He has been through enough and needs someone who
will be patient, gentle and most importantly COMMITTED to him for life!!!!
Any interested humans must also know he does not get along with cats! He is
high prey and will chase small animals.

Sailor is a handsome, young male who unfortunately found himself dumped
at the shelter because his owner said he was “scrapping” with the other
intact males in the home. He came from a breeding home where there were
multiple intact Boxers. Sailor has since been neutered.
Sailor is a big boy with a lot of typical Boxer energy. He knows a few
basic commands and needs someone who will spend time with him and teach him
to be a perfect gentleman. He was well behaved for the volunteers who
“sprung” him from the shelter, he listened well and was a real sweetheart,
guess he was showing his appreciation by being on his best behavior. He is
housebroken and crate trained. It is reported he is ok with children 5 and
older.
Sailor needs a home and a family of his very own – one who will love him
and cherish him and realize what a treasure he is – and in return, he will
give you his all.
