9/13/09 Buster was adopted in May
2009, but is sadly being returned back to rescue because the two males in
the home are not getting along. Buster would love to go into a home with a
female to run and play with. He does great with cats. Buster is going to be
a wonderful boy for a very lucky family. Apply today if you are interested
in fostering or adopting Buster!!

Buster's my given name folks but I answer to Scoober Doo (that's my
nickname) and I'm here to tell you I am still waiting for my perfect forever
home. I've been with my foster family since August, and we all agree that
I'm a very good boy. I'm house trained, crate trained, although I really
don't like it much. My foster mommy works from home and I usually have her
company so the only time my foster family puts me in the crate is when no
one is home and only because I'm a foster.
I'm pretty active and I love to play, with other dogs. I need a buddy in
my new home to play with to help burn off some energy, a little girl would
be just right. My mom's teaching me to be a gentleman (you know like
sitting, which I have down, stay, got that one too, wait, mastered it) you
see I am a smart boy. I get along great with my house sisters and brother
(they're 4, 6 and 9)even though those girls can be bossy- I don't care let
them be the boss! I LOVE Colby. She is the prettiest pit ever (in my eyes)
she comes over for play dates and we have so much fun! If you have a "Colby"
that would be super! I have been known to be a little bone possessive, so my
mom says no more "special" treats for me so my life must be "bone free"!
That's o.k. I still get lots of other treats like cookies as long as I can
eat them quickly and belly ribs oh how I love belly rubs (my mom even sent
in a belly rub photo of me lying on my back- I know I may look silly but
that is the look of happiness)...life is good! I'm a very loving, sweet boy
who is happy to take long walks or romp around the yard and the house with
my boxer friends, but I also have those moments when I love to just curl up
on my dog bed and take a long afternoon nap! My foster mommy says every day
"who's my good boy?" and I come right to her cause I know she's referring to
me!
I choose my human's carefully and small ones intrigue me so I prefer
adults and as my foster mommy said in my last update I LOVE, LOVE, LOVE men!
My human foster brother Nic is my best friend in the whole world. I love him
and he loves me so I would really like my new home to have a young guy to be
my master. I’m just a happy-go-lucky boxer boy that is looking for the
perfect home to call my own, and my foster mom says whoever is lucky enough
to get me must be ready to give me all the love I deserve because I'm her
very good boy.
If you think you might be my forever family, just let us know, I'll be
waiting.

If you are interested in adopting this dog, please first read our Adoption Procedure,
by clicking on the link at the top of this page,
then fill out an
online application.
Boxers and Applicants
are not matched on a first come, first served basis.
Not all applications are approved. On average, it takes
between a week and 1 month to adopt a Rescue Boxer to an
approved applicant, depending
on your personal circumstances and flexibility.
Matching Boxers suitable for placement
with younger children, other dogs, cats, and special
needs, yours and theirs, increases the application review
time and adoption time.
And yes, we
realize that the Boxer you may have your heart set on, may be adopted
before you're approved. Should your first choices all ready
found their forever home, we want you to advise
us as to other dogs you are interested in at
Adoptions@AdoptABoxerRescue.com . Or let
us suggest a few that we feel will match your home.
That is what we are good at. And be happy for the
ones that have been placed... and know that there are way too many
fantastic dogs waiting in their place.
Our non-profit organization is wholly comprised of hard-working volunteers whose only reward is seeing our wonderful
Boxers placed in loving, permanent homes and given another chance for a happy life. Our process may seem slow, but if you are patient, we will try to provide you with a devoted, loving companion - a
Boxer.
We hope you feel that
the right Boxer is worth waiting for.
