5/20/10 - MEMORIAL

In memory of Shadow:

Though you only were a part of our family for less than a year, it’s been hard on our hearts to lose you.  It doesn’t seem fair to be cheated out of having you with us, but at least we were able to give you a safe home and some happiness in your life before you left us.  We always teased that you may not of been the “sharpest tool in the shed”, but you were definitely the sweetest and everyone that met you, loved you.  I’m sure in time, we’ll adopt again, as we have before, to help another dog in need… after all… who can live without one?  We’ll miss you Shadow, rest in peace

Luv, Victor & Lea

7/2009 - ADOPTED!

07/03/09 - In Foster!!!!!

Update - After spending the last 8 months in a kennel, Bob is finally in a foster home. Unfortunately, the foster home is only temporary - so we are trying our best to find a foster or forever home for Bob as soon as possible so he can continue to stay in a home environment. His foster mom reports that he is truly a sweetie with a great disposition!

Bob was a bit apprehensive about being in our home at first but after two days, he came out of his shell. Bob is very easy going and requires very little from us. He likes people and gets along great with his foster brothers and sisters too! Bob has also visited the local dog park and he gets along with other dogs in the park. Although crate trained, Bob does not require the use of one. He is house broken and does not chew a thing! He has free run of our house and spends most of the day snuggled up on the recliner or on our son’s bed. Bob walks well on a leash and only pulls a bit when he sees a critter of interest. Once you tell him to stop pulling, he does so.

Please offer to give this boy a chance! He deserves a forever home to call his own.

04/26/09

Update - This handsome guy has been at our kennel for the past six months waiting for a foster or forever home. Please offer to give this boy a chance!

Bob has bonded well to the kennel owner, but would love to live in a home environment. Once he trusts you, he is a very loyal dog. Bob does well in a crate and enjoys relaxing in the sun in the play yard on warm days. Bob is looking for a strong leader and a calm home. Since we do not have any history on Bob's background, we would recommend older children or no children. Apply today if Bob may be a match for your home!

11/03/08 -

Bob was found abandoned in the yard of a local shelter. He is estimated to be between five and six years of age. We are looking for a foster home for Bob so we can learn more about him. He interacted well with the other boxers on his transport. We are recommending a home without cats for Bob at this time. We will update his page once we know more about him. Thank you for your interest in Bob!

Prior to adoption:

If you are interested in adopting this dog, please first read our Adoption Procedure, by clicking on the link at the top of this page, then fill out an online application.

Boxers and Applicants are not matched on a first come, first served basis. Not all applications are approved. On average, it takes between a week and 1 month to adopt a Rescue Boxer to an approved applicant, depending on your personal circumstances and flexibility.

Matching Boxers suitable for placement with younger children, other dogs, cats, and special needs, yours and theirs, increases the application review time and adoption time.

And yes, we realize that the Boxer you may have your heart set on, may be adopted before you're approved.   Should your first choices all ready found their forever home, we want you to advise us as to other dogs you are interested in at Adoptions@AdoptABoxerRescue.com .  Or let us suggest a few that we feel will match your home.  That is what we are good at.   And be happy for the ones that have been placed... and know that there are way too many fantastic dogs waiting in their place.

Our non-profit organization is wholly comprised of hard-working volunteers whose only reward is seeing our wonderful Boxers placed in loving, permanent homes and given another chance for a happy life. Our process may seem slow, but if you are patient, we will try to provide you with a devoted, loving companion - a Boxer.

We hope you feel that the right Boxer is worth waiting for.

Adoptions Fee: Please see our adoption info by clicking on the link at the top of this page.
