01/10/09 Treasure continues to do well
in our home. She is still a little nervous, but considering all she has been
through, that is to be expected. She is getting better about going into her
crate, she still drools a bit while she's in there, but I think with time
that will subside. We had our visit to the oncologist last Monday, and I am
very pleased to report that she requires no further surgery or other
treatment for the mammary tumors she had removed, and the vet states that
her prognosis is very good.
We are now actively looking for her forever home. I recommend a home with
at least one dog, or even two, as she seems to draw some confidence seeing
how comfortable our other Boxers (please take a look at
Muggles &
Eve) are living here.
I think she will do well with children as well, and we will be further
"kid" testing her at some upcoming outreach events at the local Petsmarts,
etc. She did well with the small ones at her last outing. She is a very
lovely girl who will need some calm reassurance while she adjusts to a new
home, but with time, patience and love I have no doubt that she will blossom
into a wonderful member of your family.
Please offer this cat friendly, gentle spirited little lady a place
in your home. You'll see what a true "Treasure" she is.

This is Treasure. This sweet girl that was left behind by family
members at one of the largest volume shelters in the country. This is the
same shelter Gadget came from.
I spoke to the vet, she is about 6 yrs old at most. Her teeth are white
as snow. She is an absolute doll. They love her and the vet said she is
super temperament wise. They have surgery in the am. est $800 -$1,000 at
least. She has large necrotic tumors on her and they will be removed in
surgery in the am. She is as sweet as sugar. Xrays said chest is clear and
all looks good for the surgery. They did in house blood work and it came
back normal .
She should not go into a kennel to recover, but we are out of foster
homes! Please help
