Boomer has been simply amazing. He is living with 2 children, 1 male Maltese, and 1 female Boxer. He is such a happy dog and so eager to please. He loves his walks, giving kisses, naps, and especially meal times. Boomer adores our boys (2 & 3 years old) and he sleeps in or just outside their rooms at night. He spent the holiday weekend with 6 other dogs (3 Boxers, 1 Maltese, 1 Lab, & 1 Chihuahua) and did wonderfully. Boomer is just a big boy full of love and we are honored to be his foster family.

5/20/11

Boomer has not had an easy life - this poor boy has been in multiple placements through no fault of his own. His current family, who adopted him 2 years ago, is returning him to rescue because they have a new baby and no time for Boomer. He is currently living with two children, a newborn and a 4 year old, and Boomer adores them. He has previously lived with cats and other dogs.  Boomer is now 7 years old and in urgent need of a home!  He would do best in a home where somebody is there often.  Please apply today and help Boomer - we do not want him to go to a kennel!

Boomer was adopted a year ago, but is being returned to rescue due to a change in work responsibilities for his owners. His owners will both be traveling a lot for work, leaving Boomer home alone frequently. The family would like to place Boomer into a home that can provide him with more time and attention.

Boomer is currently living with two cats, and he does wonderful with them. He was previously in foster with two female dogs without any problems. Boomer has lived with young children and he would love to be in a home with children and a female dog to play with. Boomer is an energetic boy and would do best in a home with a secure, fenced yard. He is a strong puller on leash and will need some work on that. Boomer is completely housetrained and has access to the entire house when home alone. He loves taking baths, riding in the car, and being with his people.

Apply today if you can provide a forever home for Boomer!

Update - Boomer is a big, beautiful young man. He loves everyone who comes to visit, from the youngest to the oldest. He has been great with my two female dogs and all three of my cats.

Boomer has lots of boxer energy and would love an active home. He is learning his leash manners, and would love someone who can take him on long walks, runs, or hikes. Boomer knows all of his basic commands, such as, sit, down, stay, give paw. Boomer needs someone who will be the pack leader. He is a great boy and will be a very loyal companion.

12/30/07 -

Hi I'm Boomer. I am looking for a new home because my owners work long hours so I spend most of my day in my crate. I am such a good boy though, I don't complain and I hold my potty all day long. That's right, no accidents from me!

I would love a home that's active since I have lots of boxer energy, I just love to play and run. Only one thing could top all the energy I have and that's all the love and kisses I give, I love people and kids. I greet all the house guests at the door with boxer wiggles. I am really no trouble at all, I am potty trained, crate trained and I even know my basic commands of sit, stay, and down. I live with a toddler and the 2 of us are best buddies. When I'm not with her, you can find me sleeping with the family cat, I am a great snuggler.

I would love to be part of your family.

If you are interested in adopting this dog, please first read our Adoption Procedure, by clicking on the link at the top of this page, then fill out an online application.

Boxers and Applicants are not matched on a first come, first served basis. Not all applications are approved. On average, it takes between a week and 1 month to adopt a Rescue Boxer to an approved applicant, depending on your personal circumstances and flexibility.

Matching Boxers suitable for placement with younger children, other dogs, cats, and special needs, yours and theirs, increases the application review time and adoption time.

And yes, we realize that the Boxer you may have your heart set on, may be adopted before you're approved.   Should your first choices all ready found their forever home, we want you to advise us as to other dogs you are interested in at Adoptions@AdoptABoxerRescue.com .  Or let us suggest a few that we feel will match your home.  That is what we are good at.   And be happy for the ones that have been placed... and know that there are way too many fantastic dogs waiting in their place.

Our non-profit organization is wholly comprised of hard-working volunteers whose only reward is seeing our wonderful Boxers placed in loving, permanent homes and given another chance for a happy life. Our process may seem slow, but if you are patient, we will try to provide you with a devoted, loving companion - a Boxer.

We hope you feel that the right Boxer is worth waiting for.
