4/22/10 Lady has
been doing so well in foster
care, and is more than ready for her forever home. She loves everyone
she meets: man, woman, child- and everyone loves her right back. She loves
to play with dogs and is good with dogs of all sizes. Lady has great leash
manners and walks next to you. When she arrived, she was a terrible counter
surfer -but has made
great strides. She does not chew or jump on furniture. Lady would
make a great family dog
or personal companion. She is eager to please - apply today for Lady!

Lady has
been in foster care for
over a month now, and is
loving life outside of the shelter. She has made great progress and
no longer jumps, but rather sits politely for attention. She is a gentle
girl with a kind and mellow disposition. She loves to cuddle with her doggie
housemates, and chew on her favorite bones. Lady loves
tennis balls and enjoys running around with the other dogs outside.
She is a sweet and very smart girl- she wants to please. Lady has blossomed
into a wonderful dog and is awaiting her forever home!
2/13/10
Lady has
been in her foster home for two weeks and is fabulous! She is now spayed and
ready for her forever home. Just a few tidbits that we have learned about
Lady: she is housebroken, knows the command 'sit,' loves to ride in the car,
walks well on a leash, doesn't pull, and comes when called. Lady is
learning a few new commands, so she is definitely a smarty! Lady has also
gained a few well-needed pounds and is looking great. She gets along with
our dogs so well - she is truly part of the pack! Each day she learns how to
play more and more. Lady would make a great addition to your pack if you are
considering adopting a wonderful dog!

-
Meet Lady- a sweet and loving boxer/mastiff mix. AABR received a call
from a shelter about this great girl, and we were happy to take her.
If you are looking for a great family pet or a friend to keep up with you
on the trails, she could be the perfect dog for you! Lady is about 4 years
old, and would love to have a place to call home. She is relatively inactive
indoors, but shows her fun loving personality outside. Lady seems to have
had a rough few months, but is getting some well needed TLC in her foster
home. She is very skinny, but with regular daily meals, she won’t be for
long. She also has a few bumps and bruises, and would love a warm, caring
home to recoup. Lady has been settling into her foster home, and seems to
love every minute of it. She is enjoying the comforts of her dog bed, our
bed, and anything soft she can roll around on. She gets along with our dogs,
and does not even bother with our cat. Please, if you are considering
opening your home to a new dog, consider this great girl. She is a little
shy, but warms up quickly. Lady will show you gratitude every day with
her soulful eyes.

If you are interested in adopting this dog, please first read our Adoption Procedure,
by clicking on the link at the top of this page,
then fill out an
online application.
Boxers and Applicants
are not matched on a first come, first served basis.
Not all applications are approved. On average, it takes
between a week and 1 month to adopt a Rescue Boxer to an
approved applicant, depending
on your personal circumstances and flexibility.
Matching Boxers suitable for placement
with younger children, other dogs, cats, and special
needs, yours and theirs, increases the application review
time and adoption time.
And yes, we
realize that the Boxer you may have your heart set on, may be adopted
before you're approved. Should your first choices all ready
found their forever home, we want you to advise
us as to other dogs you are interested in at
Adoptions@AdoptABoxerRescue.com . Or let
us suggest a few that we feel will match your home.
That is what we are good at. And be happy for the
ones that have been placed... and know that there are way too many
fantastic dogs waiting in their place.
Our non-profit organization is wholly comprised of hard-working volunteers whose only reward is seeing our wonderful
Boxers placed in loving, permanent homes and given another chance for a happy life. Our process may seem slow, but if you are patient, we will try to provide you with a devoted, loving companion - a
Boxer.
We hope you feel that
the right Boxer is worth waiting for.
