Piper continues to do well. She really is a sweet dog and loves attention. Anyone who spends any time with Piper absolutely falls in love with her. She gets along fantastic with her foster brother, Brutus. She loves her exercise and loves to go for car rides. Piper enjoys laying in the sun in the backyard. She really is a very easy dog who just wants to know she is making you happy. She knows all of her commands and is outstanding in her crate through the day. She is an excellent snuggler and gives the best boxer kisses ever. If you are looking for funny, cute, smart and for the perfect furry friend...Piper is your girl!

Piper is doing fantastic! What a joy she is. I have completely fallen for her as it is so easy. She does great in the crate during the day and I find now that she takes things in there and hides them for later, especially treats. She really enjoys walks and car rides. Piper knows all of her commands and is doing much better on her harness. She really wants to please. Piper is an awesome snuggler and she keeps my feet warm at night! She just always wants to be with you (or on you). Piper and Duke are great friends. They play outside and she loves him. Duke is quite the gentleman and lets her lead. I was lucky enough to catch them kissing and snapped a picture. She is going to be a wonderful addition to the home that adopts her.

4/6/10

Piper is doing well in her foster home. Her foster mom reports that she has been a great dog to foster. Piper is your typical wiggly, energetic boxer girl! She has been playing well with another submissive male dog. Piper is also walking well with her harness. She needs to be crated when left alone, but she goes into the crate easily. Piper knows sit, lay down, paw and speak. She really wants to please. Piper loves the fenced in yard and she really enjoys being outside. Apply today for Piper!

3/7/10

Piper was moved to a new foster home today, where she is now living with a young male boxer.  Introductions went really well and she loves running and playing with the other dog in the fenced yard.  We will update Piper's page soon with new pictures and more information as her foster mom gets to know her.

2/14/10

Due to Piper not getting along with the cats at her home, she is in urgent need of a new foster home - or better yet, her forever home. Piper's family reports that she has improved in every other way. Piper listens well to commands, is gaining weight, and is a real pleasure to have in the family. She is an energetic girl and would love a fenced yard to run and play in. If you can foster or adopt Piper, please submit an application for her today!

1/10/10 -

Piper is being surrendered to rescue because her family feels she would do better in a home without cats. Her current home has only had Piper a few weeks and they got her from a family that did not want her anymore. We want to make sure that Piper's next home is her forever home, which is why the family has contacted rescue for help in finding a great match for her. Piper is housebroken and crate trained. She LOVES having a fenced yard to run in. Her family describes Piper as an extremely loving girl with people - her whole body shakes and dances when you come home. Piper is great with children and she knows all of her basic commands. Apply today if you are interested in adopting Piper!

If you are interested in adopting this dog, please first read our Adoption Procedure, by clicking on the link at the top of this page, then fill out an online application.

Boxers and Applicants are not matched on a first come, first served basis. Not all applications are approved. On average, it takes between a week and 1 month to adopt a Rescue Boxer to an approved applicant, depending on your personal circumstances and flexibility.

Matching Boxers suitable for placement with younger children, other dogs, cats, and special needs, yours and theirs, increases the application review time and adoption time.

And yes, we realize that the Boxer you may have your heart set on, may be adopted before you're approved.   Should your first choices all ready found their forever home, we want you to advise us as to other dogs you are interested in at Adoptions@AdoptABoxerRescue.com .  Or let us suggest a few that we feel will match your home.  That is what we are good at.   And be happy for the ones that have been placed... and know that there are way too many fantastic dogs waiting in their place.

Our non-profit organization is wholly comprised of hard-working volunteers whose only reward is seeing our wonderful Boxers placed in loving, permanent homes and given another chance for a happy life. Our process may seem slow, but if you are patient, we will try to provide you with a devoted, loving companion - a Boxer.

We hope you feel that the right Boxer is worth waiting for.

Adoptions Fee: Please see our adoption info by clicking on the link at the top of this page.
