Zeus and Dante are doing well in their foster home. They are loveable, obedient, and now love visitors. They must go to a forever home together and cannot be separated, as they are so dependent on one another and anxious if they must be separated for a short vet visit or walk. It is my opinion that they should be the only dogs in the household and definitely no cats, as they both have a very high prey drive. They are very good with respectful children. These guys are wonderful. Apply today if you can provide a forever home for both Zeus and Dante.

Zeus has been doing well in his foster home with Dante. He is petite and rambunctious when playing with Dante outside, but very calm inside. He is definitely the alpha boy compared to Dante. However, he is a lovebug with people. Zeus will attach himself to the caregiver and sometimes becomes protective when Dante approaches. He will obey corrections for this.  Zeus loves everyone who comes in the house and literally jumps for joy. He settles right down when told "no jump". He, too, is good on lead, but is not comfortable when out without Dante. He also likes to wash Dante's face. Neither of these boys are destructive when left alone. Zeus will play ball outside, and he does bring it back to you. When given treats, which he takes ever so gently, Zeus will sit up and give you his paw and do high fives. He is very, very cute. Zeus and Dante are a father and son pair. Their owner had to move and was living in his van with them because he didn't want to give them up. He finally had to surrender them to the shelter, who contacted us for help. Zeus and Dante have been loved and well taken care of. They are both very sweet and playful boys. Zeus is shy when he first meets new people, but warms up quickly and then gives lots of kisses. He is an energetic boy and Zeus loves to go for walks. He knows how to sit and give his paw. Zeus is already neutered and he is up to date on all vet care. He is housetrained and is reported to be good with children. Zeus would do best in a home without cats. He is very attached to Dante, and we would love to find a home where this pair can remain together. Apply today if you can provide a forever home for Zeus and Dante!

Boxers and Applicants are not matched on a first come, first served basis. Not all applications are approved. On average, it takes between a week and 1 month to adopt a Rescue Boxer to an approved applicant, depending on your personal circumstances and flexibility.  

Matching Boxers suitable for placement with younger children, other dogs, cats, and special needs, yours and theirs, increases the application review time and adoption time.  

And yes, we realize that the Boxer you may have your heart set on, may be adopted before you're approved.   Should your first choices all ready found their forever home, we want you to advise us as to other dogs you are interested in at Adoptions@AdoptABoxerRescue.com .  Or let us suggest a few that we feel will match your home.  That is what we are good at.   And be happy for the ones that have been placed... and know that there are way too many fantastic dogs waiting in their place.

Our non-profit organization is wholly comprised of hard-working volunteers whose only reward is seeing our wonderful Boxers placed in loving, permanent homes and given another chance for a happy life. Our process may seem slow, but if you are patient, we will try to provide you with a devoted, loving companion - a Boxer.
