Charlotte has been in her new foster home 1 1/2 weeks now and has been just as sweet as all reports say. She is living with Oscar, her 9 yr old Boxer foster brother, and is getting along just fine with him. She has met new people and everyone who meets her wants to take her home.

Charlotte wants to constantly be with you. The only time she protests is if you put her in the crate. She whines only because she wants to be with you, but quickly settles down.  She will often go right in an open crate and lay down.  Charlotte also loves to play with toys and especially loves the rope ones and flings them all around. Charlotte is at the point in her life where she so deserves to be with her forever family and not bounced around from shelter to foster home. Will you be that family that gives her what all dogs deserve? Charlotte will love you for it and you will definitely love her.

I had the pleasure of meeting Charlotte yesterday.  What a sweet girl and she is doing so well in her foster home. Charlotte is super in the home and is a total lady. She is the perfect house guest. Charlotte is doing great with her foster brother, an older boxer boy, and was the hit of the party over the weekend. Please consider adopting this beautiful boxer.

Charlotte is currently in a boarding kennel and in need of a foster or forever home.  One of our volunteers went to visit with her last week.  She indicated the following about Charlotte:

"Charlotte is a sweet, loving dog.  When I picked her up from the kennel, I asked her if she wanted to "go for a ride" and she immediately ran to my car and hopped in.  She LOVES car rides!  I took her to a park to walk and she is very easy to walk.  Charlotte is very calm and relaxed on the leash.  She stopped and sniffed flowers, looked around, and really enjoyed being outside.

After we walked for awhile, I spent some time with her under a shaded tree to get to know her a bit more.  She knows "sit" and "down" and enjoyed showing off her tricks.  She was gentle and enjoyed attention.  She offered kisses and then sat in my lap!"

Charlotte is still looking for a new forever home. She is a very sweet girl. Charlotte is currently living with children and another dog. She is a great dog that just needs the right forever home. Charlotte is looking for a home willing to take some time to give her the guidance she needs so she can thrive. Please apply to adopt Charlotte.

5/13/12

Charlotte is a laid back boxer girl.  She is being returned to rescue because she can be protective of her home and surroundings.  The family that adopted her have children that now have friends coming and going.  It has become too much for them as Charlotte's unwanted behaviors have not been corrected.  She lived with another dog and children in her home - they stated that Charlotte was very loving and did great with them.

Charlotte is moving into a foster home where she will receive the proper guidance for a balanced canine life!  She will thrive with this guidance.  Do you have experience with boxers?  If you can provide Charlotte with a forever home, apply today and give this girl another chance to be a part of a happy family.

3/7/10 -

Charlotte was an owner surrender due to a medical condition which could have been easily corrected with spaying.  She was a breeding dog and when she was unable to breed, her owners turned her over to the shelter to be euthanized. Charlotte has since been spayed and brought up to date on her shots.

Charlotte is doing really well in her foster home. She gets along with her foster brothers and sisters. She walks well on a leash and knows some of her basic commands. She loves to be around people and thinks she is a lap dog. Please apply to adopt Charlotte.

If you are interested in adopting this dog, please first read our Adoption Procedure, by clicking on the link at the top of this page, then fill out an online application.

Boxers and Applicants are not matched on a first come, first served basis. Not all applications are approved. On average, it takes between a week and 1 month to adopt a Rescue Boxer to an approved applicant, depending on your personal circumstances and flexibility.

Matching Boxers suitable for placement with younger children, other dogs, cats, and special needs, yours and theirs, increases the application review time and adoption time.

And yes, we realize that the Boxer you may have your heart set on, may be adopted before you're approved.   Should your first choices all ready found their forever home, we want you to advise us as to other dogs you are interested in at Adoptions@AdoptABoxerRescue.com .  Or let us suggest a few that we feel will match your home.  That is what we are good at.   And be happy for the ones that have been placed... and know that there are way too many fantastic dogs waiting in their place.

Our non-profit organization is wholly comprised of hard-working volunteers whose only reward is seeing our wonderful Boxers placed in loving, permanent homes and given another chance for a happy life. Our process may seem slow, but if you are patient, we will try to provide you with a devoted, loving companion - a Boxer.

We hope you feel that the right Boxer is worth waiting for.
