5/2/10 Clover is a hyper, active pup.
She plays 24/7 and loves her resident dog friends. She has met numerous
other dogs and has done great with them all. Her best doggy friends are a
Boston Terrier and a Maltese. The three of them play from morning to night,
non-stop. Clover is a little girl at only 35 pounds full grown, so she tends
to play with dogs her size. She is great in the car and loves going for
rides. Clover is well behaved at the vet. I would suggest her going to a
home with another dog as she loves other dogs and I feel she would be lonely
without one as she has had a doggy pal her whole life, since she lived with
another Boxer in her previous home. Clover would do best at a home where
someone is home during the day, where she could go to work with you, or with
someone only gone for short periods of times - as she is not fond of her
crate and will do what she can to get out of her crate and be mischievous.
Clover is fine in the home being supervised and will not touch any
belongings that are not hers, but if left alone too long, she gets bored and
explores.
Clover is a silly girl and loves attention. She will make sure you
know she is there with you by giving you a paw, sitting on you, or being a
lap dog. She knows how to sit, give her paw, and will come when she hears
her treat bag. Clover would benefit from
obedience training as she acts like a puppy. If you are looking for
an energetic, active, 24/7 playful, loving girl...you have found your match
in Clover.
3/17/10
We have found out that Stella's real name is Clover, and she is a 4 year
old boxer female. Clover is a doing wonderful in her foster home. She
is a super cute, small, wiggly girl. Clover is getting along great with the
resident dogs and also, foster cats. I take her with me to my sister's house
where a 4 y/o child lives and Clover enjoys being around him and is gentle.
She is easy to walk on the leash. Clover is housebroken as long as you keep
her to a schedule. I am working on
crate training Clover as well. Clover did have her hip x-rayed which
we discovered she has a prosthetic hip in place from when she was a puppy.
She gets around just fine. Apply today for Clover!
3/7/10 -

If you are interested in adopting this dog, please first read our Adoption Procedure,
by clicking on the link at the top of this page,
then fill out an
online application.
Boxers and Applicants
are not matched on a first come, first served basis.
Not all applications are approved. On average, it takes
between a week and 1 month to adopt a Rescue Boxer to an
approved applicant, depending
on your personal circumstances and flexibility.
Matching Boxers suitable for placement
with younger children, other dogs, cats, and special
needs, yours and theirs, increases the application review
time and adoption time.
And yes, we
realize that the Boxer you may have your heart set on, may be adopted
before you're approved. Should your first choices all ready
found their forever home, we want you to advise
us as to other dogs you are interested in at
Adoptions@AdoptABoxerRescue.com . Or let
us suggest a few that we feel will match your home.
That is what we are good at. And be happy for the
ones that have been placed... and know that there are way too many
fantastic dogs waiting in their place.
Our non-profit organization is wholly comprised of hard-working volunteers whose only reward is seeing our wonderful
Boxers placed in loving, permanent homes and given another chance for a happy life. Our process may seem slow, but if you are patient, we will try to provide you with a devoted, loving companion - a
Boxer.
We hope you feel that
the right Boxer is worth waiting for.
