Sierra has been in foster
about a month and she is doing fabulous. Her skin condition has all cleared
up. She does have entropion (inward folding of her one eyelid), which will
be corrected when she is spayed in 2 weeks. Sierra is a petite and
energetic young girl. She is incredibly sweet with people. Sierra
loves to go on walks and meet new people, but she is a bit shy when trying
new things. She will need a home that is willing to help her build her
confidence. Life was likely relatively hard for Sierra in the past, so she
is just learning how to live in a house. She is crate-trained and really
likes her crate. She eats well and loves toys, Kongs and other things to
chew on. If you are looking for a young female boxer with lots of energy,
please consider adopting Sierra. She is just as sweet as they come.

Sierra is a sweetie and she is
doing great. She came to AABR with a
skin condition, but the vet says she's on the way to recovery. Her
skin is clearing up and she's doing wonderful. Sierra is a young, energetic,
and loving boxer. She's small, less than 50 lbs, and very athletic. Sierra
did great at the vet's office with lots of other dogs around. She was also
the star of the show at the pet store when she went to pick out a treat with
lots of wiggles and kisses for everyone at the store. Sierra rides well in
the car and she is improving with her leash walking. She is still in a
kennel and as nice as those folks are, she would love to find a foster or
forever home to call her own. Please consider adopting this sweet little
girl. Below is a brief video of this happy girl!

Wow! Sierra is a cutie! Her
skin is starting to look better and she is just as happy as can be. She is
still in a kennel, and as nice as those folks are, she would love a foster
or forever home to go to. She is a small female boxer with lots of energy.
She still has a tail, as you can see from the pictures. She is friendly and
playful and very much appreciates as many belly rubs as she can get. Since
she's at a kennel, we don't know too much about her behavior but for all
she's been through, she doesn't seem to have a mean bone in her body. She
needs to learn basic manners but responds well to treats when offered. The
kennel staff, and everyone she meets, says she is the
sweetest thing. Please
consider fostering or adopting Sierra.

-
Sierra was left in the drop off box at a crowded shelter. She has lost
almost all of her hair and is currently being treated for possible mange. Poor Sierra is in urgent need of a foster home so she can begin the
road to recovery and get to a wonderful, forever home that will not
let her get in this condition or abandon her again.
The staff at the shelter all fell in love with this sweet girl. They are
estimating her to be around 2 years old and indicate that she is a total
gem! She did well around the other dogs at the shelter. Sierra was
very patient and tolerant of her bath there. She is now safe in rescue -
please give her a chance at a foster home so we can get her out of the vet's
office and begin her treatment soon!

If you are interested in adopting this dog, please first read our Adoption Procedure,
by clicking on the link at the top of this page,
then fill out an
online application.
Boxers and Applicants
are not matched on a first come, first served basis.
Not all applications are approved. On average, it takes
between a week and 1 month to adopt a Rescue Boxer to an
approved applicant, depending
on your personal circumstances and flexibility.
Matching Boxers suitable for placement
with younger children, other dogs, cats, and special
needs, yours and theirs, increases the application review
time and adoption time.
And yes, we
realize that the Boxer you may have your heart set on, may be adopted
before you're approved. Should your first choices all ready
found their forever home, we want you to advise
us as to other dogs you are interested in at
Adoptions@AdoptABoxerRescue.com. Or let
us suggest a few that we feel will match your home.
That is what we are good at. And be happy for the
ones that have been placed... and know that there are way too many
fantastic dogs waiting in their place.
Our non-profit organization is wholly comprised of hard-working volunteers whose only reward is seeing our wonderful
Boxers placed in loving, permanent homes and given another chance for a happy life. Our process may seem slow, but if you are patient, we will try to provide you with a devoted, loving companion - a
Boxer.
We hope you feel that
the right Boxer is worth waiting for.
