2/14/11 Lola came to us as an 11 month
old puppy last September, and now has turned into a beautiful young lady.
All of our friends that come over can't believe she is still with us. They
all say what a great girl she is - always wanting to have fun or just lay in
your lap. They have gotten to know her and they all love her and she loves
them. Lola is still used to being with someone all day, so that would be the
best home for her. She has also learned that being crated isn't a bad
thing too. She's very curious, so we have yet to leave uncrated and give her
free run of the house
when we are not home. That said, she does have free run when it's time for
bed and either ends up sleeping in one of our beds or with one of her foster
brothers. Like all the girls we've fostered over the years, Lola loves when
we party and listen to music and she can't wait to start dancing! We also
have a shuffleboard and she has learned to play, although she mostly just
likes to swat them off. Lola would make a great addition to a young family
who would like to continue to teach her and grow with her. She would also be
a great addition to an older couple
young at heart who
loves to have a dog snuggle with them all night and still loves to play. Are
you that family? Lola would love to meet you.

Lola is still doing well in
her foster home. She is housebroken and is getting along great with her
foster brothers. Lola would love a home where somebody is there often, as
this is what she is used to and she enjoys being with her people. Lola will
go into the crate and she is currently crated when left alone. Lola is
a great boxer girl - she is very affectionate and wants to be with you all
the time. Lola needs some work on her leash manners. She listens well and is
very eager to please. If you can provide a forever home for Lola, apply
today!

Lola has been in her foster
home for 2 weeks now and is fitting in just fine. She is your typical young
female, full of life and curiosity. She has a bit of a stubborn streak and
has obviously had no formal training. We're working on her obedience skills
and she is making steady progress. She doesn't like being in the crate at
first, but does go right in - with a treat, of course. After a little while,
she does settle down and relaxes.
Lola walks well on the leash, but does tend to pull towards the end of
the walk when we're getting close to the house. Lola isn't completely
housetrained, but does let you know when she needs to go out and does go
days without any accidents. Lola loves to play and tries to get our 2
Boxer boys, ages 6 and 5, to join in. She would love to find a family
that is as active as she is and a nice young brother would be perfect too.
She would also love a fenced yard where she could run off all her energy.
Lola is a very affectionate girl and loves to give kisses. With some
people she can be a little tentative, but Lola quickly warms up to them and
rolls on her back for belly rubs. If you are looking for a beautiful, nearly
1 yr old Boxer girl to grow and learn with - Lola is the young lady for you.
So put in your application now and give this sweet girl the loving home all
dogs deserve.

Lola is an 11 month old female boxer who was surrendered to rescue when
her owners could not care for her needs anymore. She recently went into a
foster home with two other male boxers. She will be spayed soon and Lola is
up to date on all vaccines. We will update her page once her foster parents
learn more about her. Thank you for your interest in Lola!

If you are interested in adopting this dog, please first read our Adoption Procedure,
by clicking on the link at the top of this page,
then fill out an
online application.
Boxers and Applicants
are not matched on a first come, first served basis.
Not all applications are approved. On average, it takes
between a week and 1 month to adopt a Rescue Boxer to an
approved applicant, depending
on your personal circumstances and flexibility.
Matching Boxers suitable for placement
with younger children, other dogs, cats, and special
needs, yours and theirs, increases the application review
time and adoption time.
And yes, we
realize that the Boxer you may have your heart set on, may be adopted
before you're approved. Should your first choices all ready
found their forever home, we want you to advise
us as to other dogs you are interested in at
Adoptions@AdoptABoxerRescue.com . Or let
us suggest a few that we feel will match your home.
That is what we are good at. And be happy for the
ones that have been placed... and know that there are way too many
fantastic dogs waiting in their place.
Our non-profit organization is wholly comprised of hard-working volunteers whose only reward is seeing our wonderful
Boxers placed in loving, permanent homes and given another chance for a happy life. Our process may seem slow, but if you are patient, we will try to provide you with a devoted, loving companion - a
Boxer.
We hope you feel that
the right Boxer is worth waiting for.
