Boxer Mix

5/17/11

Nikka continues to do wonderful in her foster home. She has fit right in with two children and a male boxer. Now that the weather is nicer, Nikka has been having a blast running around the fenced backyard, which is something she would love to have at her new home. She has been great with visitors and has gained a lot of confidence.  Nikka sleeps at night with either her foster mom or the kids. She is such an amazing girl - her foster family is surprised that she has not been snatched up yet.  Apply today to make Nikka a part of your family!

2/25/11

Nikka is doing great in foster.  She loves to chase her foster brother, Roscoe, around the house.  She sleeps with the kids every night.  Nikka is all puppy and needs some work on her jumping.  She gets very excited when new people come to visit or when we get home from work.  She loves to give Roscoe kisses and her human family kisses too.  We can't understand why she hasn't been adopted already.  This fun-loving girl is definitely a keeper!

1/26/11

Nikki has settled in great at her foster home. Her foster mom indicates that she is just the sweetest girl. She loves her foster brother, a male boxer, and she often gives him kisses. They get along really well and enjoy running and playing.  Nikka also adores the two children in the home and she sleeps with them at night. Nikka is completely housebroken and crate trained. She is very shy with adults at first (she shakes and hides behind her foster mom), but once she realizes they are friends, she is completely fine. Nikka loves all children, though, and has no problems at all meeting new kids. Her foster mom is working on her leash manners and jumping. In the short time she has been in foster, she has adjusted very well!  Nikka is going to be a great girl for a lucky family!

1/11/11

Nikka will be spayed this week and will then be going into a foster home!!  She will be fostered with a young male boxer and children.  We will update her page as soon as her foster mom gets to know more about her.

10/31/10 -

Nikka's owner contacted rescue for help in finding this beautiful girl a forever home. She took her in from a friend who was going to put Nikka down, but she has found that she is not able to care for her. Nikka's age is estimated to be around 1.5 years old.

Nikka is a sweet and loving boxer mix, full of kisses. She is shy with new people at first, but warms up quickly. Nikka is an energetic girl and would love a home with a fenced yard and another dog to play with. She is currently living with a male German Shepherd mix and she gets along great with him and is very submissive.  Nikka is crate trained and housetrained. She is typically given full run of the house during the work day. If you can provide a foster or forever home for Nikka, apply today! We will update her page soon with more info and pictures.

If you are interested in adopting this dog, please first read our Adoption Procedure, by clicking on the link at the top of this page, then fill out an online application.

Boxers and Applicants are not matched on a first come, first served basis. Not all applications are approved. On average, it takes between a week and 1 month to adopt a Rescue Boxer to an approved applicant, depending on your personal circumstances and flexibility.

Matching Boxers suitable for placement with younger children, other dogs, cats, and special needs, yours and theirs, increases the application review time and adoption time.

And yes, we realize that the Boxer you may have your heart set on, may be adopted before you're approved.   Should your first choices all ready found their forever home, we want you to advise us as to other dogs you are interested in at Adoptions@AdoptABoxerRescue.com .  Or let us suggest a few that we feel will match your home.  That is what we are good at.   And be happy for the ones that have been placed... and know that there are way too many fantastic dogs waiting in their place.

Our non-profit organization is wholly comprised of hard-working volunteers whose only reward is seeing our wonderful Boxers placed in loving, permanent homes and given another chance for a happy life. Our process may seem slow, but if you are patient, we will try to provide you with a devoted, loving companion - a Boxer.

We hope you feel that the right Boxer is worth waiting for.
