4/12/11 - MEMORIAL Its with a heavy
heart that I must say our Sweet Nikki passed. She was tired and had no
fight left...Below is from her foster Mom, Karin
It's raining. That's how I'm feeling - sad. My heart hurts so much
because I will not see the beautiful Nikki anymore. She went peacefully, in
my lap, with a gentle female doctor.
I'm sad that she did not have more time to play and to be happy with us.
Do you know we never heard her bark? She went in silence.
I sure hope that it must have something else, after this life, where
pain, suffering and sadness is not part of it. Thank you for all your
support.
The sun will come out again.
Warm wishes,
Karin

Nikki was diagnosed with
mammary cancer just before she was about to go to her forever home. She is
not doing well and we are not sure how much longer she will be with us. She
has her loving foster family by her side. Nikki has not had a good life.. a
puppy mill girl for the first 5 years of her life, but because AABR saved
this girl she was able to spend the last 5 months in a loving foster home
with a foster brother to play with. Please send good thoughts and prayers
for her.

Nikki went to her new foster
home and she was happy to get out of the kennel. She was very good during
transport. Nikki is being fostered with an 8 year old male boxer. She is a
very sweet girl, but timid and needs a home that will be patient and
understanding. Please apply to adopt Nikki. She really needs a loving,
forever home.

Nikki came from a hoarding/breeding situation that was busted and over
100 dogs were removed. Many of the dogs that were removed didn't make it,
but Nikki was one of the lucky
ones.
Nikki is estimated to be around 5-6 years old. This sweet girl came out
of a bad situation and deserves a chance at a happy life. She is very quiet
and calm. She is scared of new situations, but given time to adjust, she
will be ok. Nikki was in a temporary foster and they loved her - she was no
trouble at all! She can be very head shy and untrusting when you first
approach her until she is comfortable. She would do best in a home
with all adults or older children. Please apply today to adopt or foster
Nikki - she deserves a home where she can be loved and pampered. |
