8/25/11 Hi! I'm Luke! As you can tell
from my pictures, I'm a very handsome boxer. I love hangin' with my people.
I'm a bit shy, so it takes me a minute to meet new people - but once I get
to know them, I really like it when they scratch my belly. I do sleep on my
back a lot which makes my foster mom laugh (not sure why, people sleep on
their backs, don't they?). I love to be affectionate, but I'm not one of
those boxers that gives lots of messy kisses. I'm a bit too sophisticated
for all that licking! I really like going on walks, but I also love to run
around the yard.
The city makes me a little nervous, so I'd really like to find a home in
the suburbs or rural areas. I have 5 foster brothers/sisters and I think
they are all pretty cool. I don't really like to be a dominate guy, so I'm
pretty happy to have anyone else in charge. I like hangin' in my crate
during the day and love toys and tennis balls to play with. I'm happy at my
foster folks' home, but I would really, really like a forever home to call
my own. Please consider adopting me. I am totally worth it!

Luke is doing just great! He is
really coming out of his shell. He has figured out that toys are really cool
and especially when someone wants to play with him. He is a sweet, sweet guy
that gets along with other dogs. He loves people that come to visit in his
home. He loves to go for walks. He pulls a little hard on walks, but is
getting much better. He likes to see people on walks, but doesn't really
like it when a stranger approaches too quickly. If you give him a few
seconds, he usually warms up.
Luke was in serious pain for over a year before his ACL surgery, so he
came to AABR very nervous. He is still nervous, but getting better. He'd do
well in a quiet home with a yard for him to play. Luke would not enjoy a
city environment that is very loud and fast-paced. He does well in the car
and is completely housebroken and crate-trained. If you have room in your
home for Luke, please apply. This is one happy boxer!

Hi! I'm Luke! Have you seen my
video below? I'm quite the handsome guy if I do say so myself. I'm living in
a foster home these days. I did have a home, but because of something called
"financial reasons," I couldn't stay there anymore. Not sure what that means
but I'm not complaining because I never complain! I love everyone.
I love to play with my foster brothers and sisters. I also like meeting
new dogs. I let everyone else be the boss and I'm happy to just follow
along. I also really, really like people. I sometimes get a bit shy when I
meet someone new, but that usually only lasts a few seconds. I had an
operation to heal my leg because it hurt a lot, but I am all better now. My
foster mom tells me to "slow down" but I don't see the point! It doesn't
hurt anymore.
They also tell me I'm a good eater (of course I am, who doesn't love to
eat??) and I can walk on a leash, go in the car, and play in the yard. My
foster mom says I'm "silly and cuddly" Not sure about the silly part. I
think that's because sometimes I like to sleep with my feet up in the air
but who doesn't, right? Anyway, I'm pretty happy here at my foster home, but
what I'd really like is a forever home. If you are looking for a friend to
snuggle with or play ball, I'm your man! I promise to not make a mess, eat
all my food and be totally happy to see you every time you come home even if
you've only been gone 5 minutes!! That's just the kind of guy I am!

Luke is doing great in his
foster home. He gets along well with all his foster buddies, large and
small. He loves to snuggle and is just too sweet. Luke came to AABR needing
ACL surgery. He's recovered from that and is doing really well. Luke is
totally housebroken, does great with other dogs and loves to pretend he's a
lap dog. His foster mom says he is such a sweet guy, always available to put
his head in your lap or just wait next to you "in case" you wanted to give
him a pat on the head. This guy is a real sweetie. Now all he needs is the
perfect forever home for this very special boy. Check out his video
below!

Luke is one sweet young man. He
has settled into his new foster home very nicely. He is one of the sweetest
boxers around. He gets along great with his foster sister and brothers.
Luke came to AABR with a
torn ACL. He had surgery about two months ago. The vet recently said
his progress is great. He has a bit of limp, but the vet said that will
clear up as he rebuilds the muscle around his knee. None of this seems to be
slowing Luke down very much. He is a happy, playful boxer. He's not too high
energy, but does like his toys and a comfy lap to lay down next too. Luke is
housebroken and doesn't mind his crate. He is a bit shy around strangers at
first, but warms up quickly. He is incredibly loving and likes nothing
better than to be wherever you are. He particularly likes men.
Luke is looking for a home that will take it slow with him at first until
his ACL recovery is complete. In the house, he is no longer on any
restrictions. He will eventually be fine to run and play but for now, needs
to be on a leash or at least not allowed to run and jump too much when out
in the yard.

Luke had his
ACL surgery last week. The surgery went very well and Luke is
recovering nicely. It is quite obvious that he is feeling much better since
he doesn't have to deal with the constant pain from the ACL tear.
Luke's current living arrangements are temporary and he will have to be
moved soon due to prior commitments of his short-term foster family.
Ideally, we would love to see Luke go directly to his forever home; however,
at the very least we need a foster home for him before the end of the month.
By that time, his most critical recovery time will be over and he will be
well on his way to being as good as new.
Luke is an especially nice, friendly boxer boy who is full of love and
kisses. He has had more than his share of disappointment and trauma this
past year, but now it is time for all that to change. Please consider giving
Luke the exceptional new life he deserves, where he can once again be
someone's little man. Luke loves to be loved! Luke's surgery, along with
several other required surgeries in rescue this past month, has sent our
medical expenses over the top.
Please help us continue to help the Boxers by making a donation to Adopt
a
Boxer Rescue today. If you would like your donation to go directly
toward Luke's expenses, please note that on your donation. Thank you for
your continued support!

Summit has found her new
forever home, but Luke is still in need. He is in urgent need of a placement
by the end of this week. Luke will be having ACL surgery and really needs a
home environment to recover in. A kennel in not an option for him. Luke is a
very sweet, lovable boy. He gets along great with people and has lived with
a female boxer his whole life. If you are interested in helping Luke, please
contact us today.

Luke is a very sweet, handsome, and outgoing Boxer boy. Sadly, due to
very unfortunate circumstances and changes with his family’s living
situation, Luke and
Summit are losing their home and are urgently in need of a new home
right away. Luke loves people and loves to play. He is a very happy boy and
gives great Boxer kisses. He is house trained, crated trained, and good with
children of all ages. He will be having his ACL repaired shortly and needs a
forever home or foster home to recuperate in.
Luke is a simply awesome boy - he doesn’t deserve to be in this
situation. He has a magnetic personality and I fell in love with him as soon
as I met him today. I am confident that anyone who meets him will do the
same. Please consider giving this sweet boy the wonderful new home he
deserves.
