6/6/11 Angus is a great hiking
companion. He loved all the people he met, big and small, and other dogs he
met along the way! If you love the great outdoors and are looking for an
awesome buddy, he is still available with AABR and his name is Angus.
As you can see from the new pictures, Angus loves children and his foster
brother, Hank!

Hello - Angus here just
checking in to tell you how AWESOME I am!! My foster family loves me and I
love them (especially my foster Dad and brother). I am in foster with AABR
Hank and we have become best buddies! We play catch me if you can, tug, and
all kinds of other fun games he makes up! When I am not playing, I am
napping - which is a favorite past time of all boxers.
My foster Mom is teaching me to stay and I have to be honest, I am
getting it. She is also teaching me heel and it is starting to work. I am
just so excited when out on leash to meet the world that sometimes I forget.
I potty outside in our "doggie outhouse" and get so excited when my foster
Mommy asks if I have to go (I think that is a good thing cause I am told I
am a good boy!) My foster Mom is a great cook and she feeds me well so I am
at the perfect weight and I must be looking pretty handsome. I love my
family so much that I don't like when they leave and I want to go with them
so I am hoping my forever family can stay home with me or take me with them
to work. I will be good.
I like people, big and little. I like dogs, big and little. I even like
cats, but they scare me when they hiss! Check out my new pictures. My foster
Mom loves to catch me sleeping cause I like to hang my head and she says I
am a funny boy!

Angus is settling in well at
his foster home. He will need some work on his obedience commands and
leash manners. Angus is great with other dogs and with people.
He attended an adoption
event over the weekend and we have posted some new pictures. Apply
today if you are interested in adopting Angus!

Though this guy is a stray, in the bonding time we had I can report that
Angus is a young energetic male willing to learn and ready to please. Within
minutes, he was following my commands and doing whatever I asked for a treat
- even with all the activities of the shelter. He is a smart boy! He is
super friendly in greeting everyone he meets, big and little, with the
typical boxer wiggle. He came into contact with a few dogs being adopted and
Angus wiggled and wanted to play. The shelter tested him with cats and it
was reported that he paid no attention to the cat nor did the cat pay any
attention to him. Angus seemed excited to leave the shelter, so was very
strong on lead. This will need some work, but beyond that he appears house
trained and a total love! If you think you might have the time, patience and
love for a boxer - Angus might be your boy!!
