After a week in foster, Jeffrey is doing great! He gets along well with the other two boxers in his foster home and he loves to play with them.  He is a pretty vocal boy when playing. When not playing, they can be found curled up together in the house.  Jeffrey would do best in a home without cats.  He has gotten used to his crate and goes in there now on his own.  Jeffrey met a lot of new people at a cookout over the weekend, and he did great with all the visitors at his home.  He just loves attention!  Jeffrey will sit and picks up new things quickly.  Apply today if you are interested in providing a forever home for sweet Jeffrey!

Jeffrey is now in a foster home with two female boxers and he is doing great! He is a smart boy and picked up the doggy door on just the first day. He knows all his commands and has gained some much needed weight.  A new update will be posted once his foster mom gets to know him better.  If you can provide a forever home for Jeffrey, apply today!

5/1/11

Jeffrey and Chevy were transported into rescue yesterday and they did great with each other. Jeffrey has been neutered and is up to date on all vaccines. He enjoyed meeting new people on the transport. Jeffrey seems to be a confident boy. He will need some work on his basic commands and with leash walking. Updated pictures are included from his transport. Jeffrey is in need of a foster home - apply today if you can help get Jeffrey out of the kennel and into a home!  

4/22/11 -

Jeffrey was left in the drop off box at the shelter overnight. He was found in the morning and was digging in the trash for food. Jeffrey is very skinny and in need of some TLC. He is good with other dogs and very friendly with people. Jeffrey knows how to sit and shake. He is in need of a foster home so we can learn more about him. Apply today to foster or adopt Jeffrey!

Boxers and Applicants are not matched on a first come, first served basis. Not all applications are approved. On average, it takes between a week and 1 month to adopt a Rescue Boxer to an approved applicant, depending on your personal circumstances and flexibility.  

Matching Boxers suitable for placement with younger children, other dogs, cats, and special needs, yours and theirs, increases the application review time and adoption time.  

And yes, we realize that the Boxer you may have your heart set on, may be adopted before you're approved.   Should your first choices all ready found their forever home, we want you to advise us as to other dogs you are interested in at Adoptions@AdoptABoxerRescue.com .  Or let us suggest a few that we feel will match your home.  That is what we are good at.   And be happy for the ones that have been placed... and know that there are way too many fantastic dogs waiting in their place.

Our non-profit organization is wholly comprised of hard-working volunteers whose only reward is seeing our wonderful Boxers placed in loving, permanent homes and given another chance for a happy life. Our process may seem slow, but if you are patient, we will try to provide you with a devoted, loving companion - a Boxer.
