10/5/11 Odie is
still waiting for his forever home. He now needs a new foster home, as his
current foster will be moving and Odie would need to be crated too long each
day since she will no longer be able to run home at lunch.
Odie is truly a love and he loves to snuggle. He greets me every day
when I come home; hopping around and boxer wiggling. He is a loyal
companion. He does need a home to be understanding and people to be patient
with him during introductions to new people due to his previous life living
outside in a dog house. He is very loyal to his family and just needs
someone who will do slow introductions to new people and not let people just
walk right in the house. Some people he does great with right away. I place
him on a leash and give the other person a treat and introduce him.
He loves other dogs as he gets along great with 3 of my dogs, the last 2
resident dogs in his foster home, and his recent new dog friend, Shy. He
loves the kids here. He is great in the car and at the vet. Whenever he
is boarded at the vet, they always say how sweet he is. He has learned the
crate and is used to being in there for approx. 5-6 hours a day. He is
completely housetrained and is okay being left for free run of the
house. He learned the doggie door in less than a day.
Most of the time, Odie will sleep on the couch or lay next to your feet.
He does enjoy his romp time with the other dogs and also his daily walks,
which I know he comes back tired out. Odie spends his night time sleeping
on the loveseat or in his foster mom's bed with his fur friends.

Odie has
settled in at his foster home and he has a great personality. He has been
enjoying all his rides in the car this summer and hanging out with the kids
during the day. Odie has been having fun playing with his fur brothers with
chase and tug a war each day. He is super sweet with people he knows and
trusts. He does need a slow introduction to new people. A big yard and quiet
house would be an ideal home for Odie. Odie would love a home that is
understanding and patient with him. He needs a family to help him be the
best he can be.

Meet Odie the lovable marshmallow! Odie came to us from a home where he
lived outside in a dog house. He is enjoying living indoors. He is
completely housetrained and knows basic commands. Odie is a protector of his
home and humans. He always watches out the window to see what is outside or
who may be coming. Living outdoor for this guy made him protective of his
property. I guess we all would be protective too if that's all we knew and
had.
All this boy needs is a proper introduction to know the human coming in
your home is okay and he will give them lots of sloppy kisses and love just
like he does for me each day. Odie has happily settled into his foster home.
He is enjoying his time with his fur brothers and sisters. He has free roam
of the house all the time and doesn't touch a thing except his toys. Odie
loves to play with the other two Boxers or the
Boston in the home...playing tug a war or chasing the ball. He also
loves to sleep with his doggie friends or humans. He has mastered the doggie
door and loves to be able to go out and in at his leisure.
Odie loves having a yard to run and play in with his doggie pals. He
loves to go for car rides and is a perfect gentleman at the vet. Odie
follows me around the house all the time or he lays by my feet. He is a very
strong dog and does pull on the leash. I am working with Odie to teach him
how to walk gently on the lead. Odie is around children who stay every other
weekend (ages 9, 12, and 14) who he adores and loves to hang out and watch
tv with them or sleep with them. He is a big love with a huge heart.
Odie's ideal home would be a home with older kids and a large yard to run
with other doggie pals in the suburbs or country. Apply today to adopt this
fabulous dog. I would adopt him in a minute if I was looking to adopt
another fur kid :)

Odie is your typical young boxer - full of energy and excitement.
He is completely housebroken and has free roam of the house
when his owners are gone (cats are kept separate). Odie sleeps very well at
night in the master bedroom with the other dogs. He knows all his basic
commands and is a very smart guy. And, best of all, he is a big marshmallow
who loves hanging with his family and will love yours!
