Bentley is being returned to rescue.  He is currently living with a small breed dog and several young children, but his energy level and style of play is better suited to a home with larger dogs and older children.  If Bentley goes into a home with other dogs, he should be placed with a female.  He is a sweet and energetic boy.  Thank you for your interest in Bentley!

7/2011 - Adopted!

Bentley is a high energy, goofy pup. He loves to play and run outside.  Bentley would love to have a fenced yard at his new home. He is a bit nervous around loud noises and he likes to be close to his people. In just three short weeks, Bentley is starting to walk better on his leash and has learned to sit, give (his toys) and even sit and wait until he is told to eat. He just needs a lot of consistency and patience.

Bentley is wonderful with children. He can get rambunctious, but is very friendly. Bentley is currently living with children ages 5, 8, and 14. He is crate trained and Bentley sleeps in his crate at night. He is housebroken and is starting to let us know when he needs to go outside. Bentley has gained some much needed weight. He is a cute, fun boy and loves all his new found attention.

5/17/11 -

Poor Bentley was dropped off at the local SPCA because his family is expecting a baby. He is a handsome 9 month old male boxer with a great personality. Bentley is a happy boy and loves attention. Typical of a young boxer, he is energetic and loves to play. He went to his first event this weekend and had a great time. He loved meeting new people and other dogs. Bentley seems to get along well with other dogs. He knows commands like 'sit' and 'stay' and is reported to be housebroken. Please apply today to foster or adopt this great guy!

Boxers and Applicants are not matched on a first come, first served basis. Not all applications are approved. On average, it takes between a week and 1 month to adopt a Rescue Boxer to an approved applicant, depending on your personal circumstances and flexibility.  

Matching Boxers suitable for placement with younger children, other dogs, cats, and special needs, yours and theirs, increases the application review time and adoption time.  

And yes, we realize that the Boxer you may have your heart set on, may be adopted before you're approved.   Should your first choices all ready found their forever home, we want you to advise us as to other dogs you are interested in at Adoptions@AdoptABoxerRescue.com .  Or let us suggest a few that we feel will match your home.  That is what we are good at.   And be happy for the ones that have been placed... and know that there are way too many fantastic dogs waiting in their place.

Our non-profit organization is wholly comprised of hard-working volunteers whose only reward is seeing our wonderful Boxers placed in loving, permanent homes and given another chance for a happy life. Our process may seem slow, but if you are patient, we will try to provide you with a devoted, loving companion - a Boxer.
