5/10/12 Coco's
auto immune disorder is in remission with medication. She is also on a
special diet. Coco is a very smart and loving girl. She likes to
be indoors and close by when I am working at my computer. Coco is also
a great snuggler! She doesn't have much interest in other dogs;
however, she gets along fine with them. When visitors come over, Coco
expects attention and will let out a howl to let you know she is there.
It is very funny! She will occasionally play with a ball and she
enjoys puzzle toys. Her favorite activities are eating and watching
the birds outside.
Coco attended the Bark Benefit Days adoption event at the end of April
and she was a huge hit! As you can see from the picture, it is hard
work enjoying all the attention! Coco is still in need of a new foster
placement due to her current home's work hours. If you are interested in
fostering or adopting Coco, apply today!

Coco is
in need of a new foster home. Her current foster family works most weekends
and evenings and is finding it difficult to give Coco the attention she
needs. She is looking for a new foster home that is willing to work with her
as she continues to improve medically. Coco recently attended an adoption
event in Maryland. She was the star of the show. Everyone loved her and she
just couldn't get enough kisses and hugs. Please consider fostering or
adopting her today!

As you
can see from her new photo, Coco has come a long way! She no longer has a
staph infection. She does have a condition known as Phempigus, which is an
auto immune disorder. Coco is on daily medication and will require rechecks
by a dermatologist. Her breakouts seem to be under control right now and we
are hoping to continue to reduce her medication. Coco is a sweet girl who
absolutely loves people. Apply today if you are interested in adopting Coco.

Coco is
doing well with her treatment. She has seen the dermatologist several times
and we are working to get the appropriate medications in place for her.
Coco's skin has improved since she came into rescue. She will need
regular follow ups with a dermatologist in her forever home, but we are
hopeful her skin will continue to improve and her break outs and vet visits
will be less often.
Coco is a very smart, sweet, and gentle young girl. She knows all of her
basic commands. Coco loves attention and will snuggle up against your legs
when you sit near her. She loves all people and lives to eat! Coco
also enjoys going for walks and car rides. She is well mannered and does not
jump up. If you are interested in learning more about Coco or providing a
forever home for her, apply today!

Coco is
now in her foster home and adjusting really well. She had her first bath and
felt much better afterward. She loves her new food and we are working on
getting her an appointment soon with a dermatologist. We will post more
about Coco as her foster mom gets to know her better and as soon as we have
more information following her vet appointment.
6/25/11 -
Coco was surrendered to the shelter because her owners could no longer
afford her medical care. Coco is three years old, spayed, and has suffered a
skin infection for the past six months that has not cleared up. The family
has taken Coco to their regular vet and a dermatologist, who diagnosed a
severe staph infection that had become resistant to the antibiotics she had
been getting.
Coco is going to her foster home today and AABR will be working to treat
her skin condition. The previous owners reported that Coco is incredibly
sweet. She lived with a 9 month old child who crawled all over her. Coco
loves children and is very sweet with people. She attended doggy daycare and
enjoys being around other dogs.
Please sponsor Coco so we are able to help this girl get over her skin
infection and into a forever home! We will update her page as soon as we
have more information.
