10/31/11

I've had the absolute pleasure of watching Cooper while the foster home was away. He is such a doll! Cooper is very well-mannered in the house. He is crate-trained, but does not even need it. He doesn't touch a thing in the house when loose. He walks like a dream on leash. It is so nice to be able to take a dog on a walk without having your arm pulled out of the socket :). He is really friendly and gets so happy when you get home. Nothing but wiggles and wags! I don't understand why he has been with rescue this long -someone is really missing out on a great dog!

9/26/11

Cooper is a very fit, happy, and loving dog!  With his beautiful coat and big brown eyes - he is quite a dapper fellow. Cooper is very well behaved and listens extremely well in the house.  He gets very excited to meet new people and is all wiggles! Cooper loves to chill out and relax with you after a long day.  Cooper loves to walk and get exercise, but is sometimes nervous around other dogs.  He can be insecure with other dogs when he is on leash.  Cooper wouldn't be a good match in an environment where he will need walked daily with a lot of other dogs around.   He is going to need an enclosed yard where he can hang out and be himself. Cooper is fine in his crate during the day as long as it is secured well.  He seems to be very healthy.  Cooper is so excited to meet his furrever family!  Apply today if you are interested in adopting Cooper.

8/8/11

Cooper is ready to find his forever home! He is looking for someone that will keep his active mind busy with training and activities. It is clear that the family who surrendered Cooper spent little to no time with him. Cooper is a smart boy who needs direction and a daily routine. He loves attention and wants to please you. He is very active and would be a great running or hiking partner. Cooper will make a wonderful addition to a lucky family. Please apply today to foster or adopt Cooper!

6/17/11

Cooper is still looking for a foster home.  This guy is energetic and loves all the attention he has been receiving! When introduced to his foster sister at a temporary foster home, he was all butt wiggles and so happy to have a friend to play with. Cooper is going to be a great companion for an active family.  Submit your application today to foster or adopt Cooper!

6/4/11 -

Cooper is being surrendered to AABR because his family does not have the time to commit to him.  Cooper has been a part of their family since he was just a small puppy and he grew up with their children. Cooper is great with children of all ages and with other dogs. He also lived with cats at one point and got along well with them. Cooper loves to be part of the family and seeks attention from his owners. He is said to walk well on a leash and he is fully housebroken. Cooper is currently living outside in a barn. Please open your home and invite Cooper to be part of your family!

If you are interested in adopting this dog, please first read our Adoption Procedure, by clicking on the link at the top of this page, then fill out an online application.

Boxers and Applicants are not matched on a first come, first served basis. Not all applications are approved. On average, it takes between a week and 1 month to adopt a Rescue Boxer to an approved applicant, depending on your personal circumstances and flexibility.

Matching Boxers suitable for placement with younger children, other dogs, cats, and special needs, yours and theirs, increases the application review time and adoption time.

And yes, we realize that the Boxer you may have your heart set on, may be adopted before you're approved.   Should your first choices all ready found their forever home, we want you to advise us as to other dogs you are interested in at Adoptions@AdoptABoxerRescue.com .  Or let us suggest a few that we feel will match your home.  That is what we are good at.   And be happy for the ones that have been placed... and know that there are way too many fantastic dogs waiting in their place.

Our non-profit organization is wholly comprised of hard-working volunteers whose only reward is seeing our wonderful Boxers placed in loving, permanent homes and given another chance for a happy life. Our process may seem slow, but if you are patient, we will try to provide you with a devoted, loving companion - a Boxer.

We hope you feel that the right Boxer is worth waiting for.
