10/1/11

Beryl has come a long way since arriving in rescue.  She has been spayed and is up to date on all vet care.  Beryl has gained 6 lbs and looks so much better!  She has done really well with the other dog in her foster home.  She is still nervous with new people, but has been letting people approach and pet her.  She is now fully housebroken and she enjoys her daily walks.  Beryl loves playing outside in the yard and would do best in a home with a fenced yard for her.  She is starting to give kisses to her foster mom.  Beryl can often be seen relaxing on the couch.  Her foster mom will be moving to Florida in November, so Beryl is in urgent need of a new foster home, or better yet - a forever home!  Apply today if you can help Beryl!

9/3/11

Beryl is doing well in her temporary home, but she is still looking for a new foster home.  Beryl has been eating well and she is slowly gaining weight.  She will be spayed after she picks up a few more pounds.  Beryl's temporary foster mom is working with her confidence and housebreaking, and she has been improving in both areas.  If you can provide a foster or forever home for Beryl, let us know today!

8/25/11

Beryl is in need of a new foster home.  She would do better in a home where somebody is there more often to work on her housebreaking and socialization. Beryl is very timid in meeting new people and needs to gain confidence in a home environment.  We suspect Beryl's previous living conditions were not very good.  She is extremely underweight and needs a lot of TLC.  Beryl would do best in a home with another dog, to help her confidence.  If you can foster Beryl, please let us know today!

7/30/11 -

Beryl is a young female boxer who was found as a stray. She appears to have had a recent litter of puppies and is very thin. Beryl is in a temporary foster home with other dogs and cats. She does great with the other dogs and is acclimating to the cats. Once Beryl gains some weight, she will be spayed. Beryl is in urgent need of a foster home so we can learn more about her. Apply today for this sweet girl!

If you are interested in adopting this dog, please first read our Adoption Procedure, by clicking on the link at the top of this page, then fill out an online application.

Boxers and Applicants are not matched on a first come, first served basis. Not all applications are approved. On average, it takes between a week and 1 month to adopt a Rescue Boxer to an approved applicant, depending on your personal circumstances and flexibility.

Matching Boxers suitable for placement with younger children, other dogs, cats, and special needs, yours and theirs, increases the application review time and adoption time.

And yes, we realize that the Boxer you may have your heart set on, may be adopted before you're approved.   Should your first choices all ready found their forever home, we want you to advise us as to other dogs you are interested in at Adoptions@AdoptABoxerRescue.com .  Or let us suggest a few that we feel will match your home.  That is what we are good at.   And be happy for the ones that have been placed... and know that there are way too many fantastic dogs waiting in their place.

Our non-profit organization is wholly comprised of hard-working volunteers whose only reward is seeing our wonderful Boxers placed in loving, permanent homes and given another chance for a happy life. Our process may seem slow, but if you are patient, we will try to provide you with a devoted, loving companion - a Boxer.

We hope you feel that the right Boxer is worth waiting for.
