Deuce is doing well in his foster home. He is currently being fostered with a male boxer and two children, 7 and 9 years old. Deuce is a super sweet hearing white boxer. I still can not believe that Deuce has not found his forever home. Once you meet him, you will fall in love. Please put in your application for Deuce today.

4/20/12

Deuce is doing well in his foster home. He loves to go for walks with his foster brothers. He seems more interested being with people than other dogs. He goes to work with his foster mom and all that meet him love him. I can not believe we do not have a ton of apps on this very sweet boy. He loves to cuddle and likes playing with his toys. He a really great dog that needs a place to call home. Apply to adopt Deuce.

4/1/12

Deuce has finally gone into a temporary foster home. He is a very sweet and super handsome white boxer. He likes cuddling on the couch and giving big wet boxer kisses. Deuce enjoys his morning walk and playing ball in the yard. He is learning to walk nicely on leash and we are working on his basic commands. Deuce would love a home to call his own. Please apply to adopt Deuce.

1/4/12

Poor Deuce has been waiting four months for a foster or forever home. He is a handsome, hearing white boxer boy full of love for the right home. He would love a foster home or a home to call his own. Please apply to adopt or foster Deuce.

12/12/11

Poor Deuce is still waiting for a foster or forever home. He was treated for his heartworm disease and is doing well. Deuce's Christmas wish is to have a home for the holidays. A kennel is no place for a dog to spend the holidays.

Deuce is a handsome, super sweet boy who is full of energy and would love to run in a fenced in yard. Deuce is selective with his dog friends, so would do best as an only dog or with a older submissive female. Please consider opening your heart and home to this great dog and apply to adopt or foster him.

10/03/11 -

Deuce was a stray to a shelter in NC. He was adopted and when the family found out he was a light Heartworm positive, they returned him to the shelter.  Deuce was immediately put in the euthanasia holding room. AABR was asked to help this beautiful boy. A local rescue helped pull him and here is her description of the experience. "I went and picked him up for you. It was horrible! I have never been to this shelter before because they have never wanted to work with rescue. I get there and they said come on back and we will get him. We walk through the garage and into the euthanasia holding room! I cannot believe they had me go in there! The images of those dogs in there will haunt me forever and they had Deuce still in the holding room. I have him now and he is safe. Thank you for helping him."

Deuce is in a temporary foster home in NC and will need a foster home once he comes up north. He is very thin and needs to put on some weight. We will update his page when we know some more about him. Please apply to foster or adopt this beautiful sweet boy.

If you are interested in adopting this dog, please first read our Adoption Procedure, by clicking on the link at the top of this page, then fill out an online application.

Boxers and Applicants are not matched on a first come, first served basis. Not all applications are approved. On average, it takes between a week and 1 month to adopt a Rescue Boxer to an approved applicant, depending on your personal circumstances and flexibility.

Matching Boxers suitable for placement with younger children, other dogs, cats, and special needs, yours and theirs, increases the application review time and adoption time.

And yes, we realize that the Boxer you may have your heart set on, may be adopted before you're approved.   Should your first choices all ready found their forever home, we want you to advise us as to other dogs you are interested in at Adoptions@AdoptABoxerRescue.com .  Or let us suggest a few that we feel will match your home.  That is what we are good at.   And be happy for the ones that have been placed... and know that there are way too many fantastic dogs waiting in their place.

Our non-profit organization is wholly comprised of hard-working volunteers whose only reward is seeing our wonderful Boxers placed in loving, permanent homes and given another chance for a happy life. Our process may seem slow, but if you are patient, we will try to provide you with a devoted, loving companion - a Boxer.

We hope you feel that the right Boxer is worth waiting for.

Adoptions Fee: Please see our adoption info by clicking on the link at the top of this page.
