Ali is available again! It turns out that Ali would really like to find a home with another dog to play with. She is a great girl that loves people and dogs. Ali is crate-trained and housebroken. She just needs to be in a home where there is another dog to play with and to help her understand the world. You can't get much sweeter than Ali, so please consider adopting her.

Hi! I'm Ali! I am a 1-2 years old and I just arrived at my foster home from a pretty scary shelter. It was kind of a long trip from the shelter, then the vets, then a long drive - but now I'm at my new foster home in Maryland. It is really fun here! My favorite things are soft beds, lots of toys and all my new doggie friends. My foster mom gave me a bath yesterday (I guess I was a little smelly!) and I loved it! I also got some yummy food and loved that! They say I need to gain a little weight because I'm too skinny. I'm trying!

My foster mom says I'm a good girl and that I am super, super friendly to people and dogs. I know to go potty outside and I don't pull too much on the leash. Oh and you know what my favorite thing is? Chasing balls! Check me out in the video playing chase. I don't really know how to give the ball back (why would I give it back if I have it?) but I like to run. Here's my video: http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=M74zxJ_Az4A

Oh, one thing I noticed that is different about me is that I have a tail. The other boxers in my foster home don't have one. I guess they forgot to take mine off but that's ok because my tail isn't too big and its kind of cute when its sticks up in the air. So my foster mom says that I need a forever home. That sounds good to me as long as there are lots of tennis balls there!

Ali is a 2 year old female boxer who was surrendered to the shelter when her owners moved and couldn't take her with them. She was very scared in the shelter, but warmed up quickly to new people. Ali is full of wiggles and loves to play. She is reported to do well with other dogs and her previous owners indicated that she liked children. Ali will be spayed soon and is in need of a foster or forever home. Apply today for Ali!

If you are interested in adopting this dog, please first read our Adoption Procedure, by clicking on the link at the top of this page, then fill out an online application.

Boxers and Applicants are not matched on a first come, first served basis. Not all applications are approved. On average, it takes between a week and 1 month to adopt a Rescue Boxer to an approved applicant, depending on your personal circumstances and flexibility.

Matching Boxers suitable for placement with younger children, other dogs, cats, and special needs, yours and theirs, increases the application review time and adoption time.

And yes, we realize that the Boxer you may have your heart set on, may be adopted before you're approved.   Should your first choices all ready found their forever home, we want you to advise us as to other dogs you are interested in at Adoptions@AdoptABoxerRescue.com .  Or let us suggest a few that we feel will match your home.  That is what we are good at.   And be happy for the ones that have been placed... and know that there are way too many fantastic dogs waiting in their place.

Our non-profit organization is wholly comprised of hard-working volunteers whose only reward is seeing our wonderful Boxers placed in loving, permanent homes and given another chance for a happy life. Our process may seem slow, but if you are patient, we will try to provide you with a devoted, loving companion - a Boxer.

We hope you feel that the right Boxer is worth waiting for.
