Sunshine is doing fabulous in her temporary foster home! She is a great dog and is very loving. Sunshine loves to cuddle next to you. She is completely house-broken, walks well on a leash, and is crate-trained. Sunshine loves people and will follow you wherever you go. She is great at meeting new people. Sunshine currently lives with several other dogs, large and small, and she does fine with them. Please consider this sweet, little girl. She is going to make someone very happy!

Sunshine, along with her temporary foster sister Ali, attended the "Strutt Your Mutt" adoption event today in Maryland.  Sunshine is still in need of a foster or forever home.  Included are two new pictures from today's event.

Look up the definition of "adorable" in the dictionary and there's a picture of Sunshine. This pretty little girl is such a sweetie. Sunshine is a petite little girl at only 35 lbs. She is is spending time at a temporary foster home, living with several other dogs, small and large. She loves to run around with the other dogs, but is also happy to snuggle up next to you. She is such a little love-bug. Sunshine does well on the leash and is housebroken. She is also crate-trained. All she needs right now is a home to call her own. She'd love another dog to hang out with, but would also be fine in a one-dog home. Please consider giving this little girl a place to call her own. Her beautiful big brown eyes will remind you everyday just how lucky you are to have her!

Sunshine has been spayed and brought up to date on all vet care. She was transported to our boarding kennel over the weekend and is in urgent need of a foster or forever home. Sunshine did great on the transport. She was very friendly with everyone she met and traveled well in the car. Sunshine is a petite girl and was very shy when meeting new people. Once in the car, she laid her head on the volunteer's lap and was very snuggly. Sunshine walks well on leash and showed no reaction to Sable, a boxer girl who she traveled with. Sunshine is a really sweet girl and would love to get out of the kennel soon - apply today to foster or adopt Sunshine!

Sunshine was surrendered to the local animal control by her owners.  She previously lived with another dog and has done well with the small dog she recently met at the shelter.  Sunshine is a sweet girl who is in need of a foster or forever home.  Apply today for Sunshine!

Boxers and Applicants are not matched on a first come, first served basis. Not all applications are approved. On average, it takes between a week and 1 month to adopt a Rescue Boxer to an approved applicant, depending on your personal circumstances and flexibility.  

Matching Boxers suitable for placement with younger children, other dogs, cats, and special needs, yours and theirs, increases the application review time and adoption time.  

And yes, we realize that the Boxer you may have your heart set on, may be adopted before you're approved.   Should your first choices all ready found their forever home, we want you to advise us as to other dogs you are interested in at Adoptions@AdoptABoxerRescue.com .  Or let us suggest a few that we feel will match your home.  That is what we are good at.   And be happy for the ones that have been placed... and know that there are way too many fantastic dogs waiting in their place.

Our non-profit organization is wholly comprised of hard-working volunteers whose only reward is seeing our wonderful Boxers placed in loving, permanent homes and given another chance for a happy life. Our process may seem slow, but if you are patient, we will try to provide you with a devoted, loving companion - a Boxer.
