1/30/13 Bryce has been wonderful in
his foster home . He is a patient and well behaved boy who really enjoys
being with his foster family. He loves to go for walks and romp in the snow.
If you're looking for a dog to cuddle with, he's your boy! Bryce would
really love to have a family to call his own.

Bryce is still waiting for his
forever home. Included are a few new pictures!
11/26/12
Bryce has been in foster for
three months. He has filled out to a very sleek, muscular 65 lb dog. Bryce
has shown us that he knows almost all commands -both verbal and in sign
(Bryce is not deaf). He is a fun loving and easy going pup who would
make an awesome addition to any family. He absolutely loves and respects his
humans, both old and young, as I watch my three year old granddaughter pull
a bone out of his mouth, snuggle with him and try to ride him. He was
nothing but the most perfect pup and I do mean pup, as he is a little over a
year old. Bryce was tested with the kitten that came for the holiday and,
like many other dogs he has met, shows that he would prefer to be the only
pet in the home. Please consider adopting Bryce - his Christmas wish is a
place to call home.
10/7/12
Bryce is
a sweet, funny, and charming young dog who enjoys going for walks and being
a mush. He is a medium energy boxer who is looking for a family to
love him and help him with basic commands and socialization. Bryce has
come a long way since coming into rescue. He has gained a few pounds
and filled out nicely. Bryce's wounds are healed and his fur has
started to grow back. Bryce is becoming better with his crate
training. He has been introduced to several dogs, but we feel Bryce
would do best in a home without other dogs at this time.

Bryce is
looking better every day! He has put on some much needed weight and his skin
is clearing up. Apply today for this handsome boy!
8/27/12 -
Bryce and his brother, Ringo, were found in
a dumpster covered in blood in a waste management plant in South Carolina.
Both boys are in pretty bad shape. They are emaciated, have sarcoptic mange,
skin infections and are loaded with worms.
They will need to stay at the vet at least a week and then we will
determine if they are well enough to travel. Once ready for transport,
these babies will need a foster home to recuperate in. Please apply to
foster Bryce or if you cannot foster at this time, consider donating toward
his care.
Treatment
Dogs that have sarcoptic mange will
likely be treated with a scabicide -- a drug that kills the itch
mite. In some cases, the animal will be dipped in a scabicidal
shampoo to kill all of the mites living in its skin. Ongoing
treatment is necessary to kill all of the mites as the eggs will
take time to hatch, and most treatments do not kill the eggs, only
the living mites.
Living and Management
Complete response to the therapy may
take a few weeks.

If you are interested in adopting this dog, please first read our Adoption Procedure,
by clicking on the link at the top of this page,
then fill out an
online application.
Boxers and Applicants
are not matched on a first come, first served basis.
Not all applications are approved. On average, it takes
between a week and 1 month to adopt a Rescue Boxer to an
approved applicant, depending
on your personal circumstances and flexibility.
Matching Boxers suitable for placement
with younger children, other dogs, cats, and special
needs, yours and theirs, increases the application review
time and adoption time.
And yes, we
realize that the Boxer you may have your heart set on, may be adopted
before you're approved. Should your first choices all ready
found their forever home, we want you to advise
us as to other dogs you are interested in at
Adoptions@AdoptABoxerRescue.com . Or let
us suggest a few that we feel will match your home.
That is what we are good at. And be happy for the
ones that have been placed... and know that there are way too many
fantastic dogs waiting in their place.
Our non-profit organization is wholly comprised of hard-working volunteers whose only reward is seeing our wonderful
Boxers placed in loving, permanent homes and given another chance for a happy life. Our process may seem slow, but if you are patient, we will try to provide you with a devoted, loving companion - a
Boxer.
We hope you feel that
the right Boxer is worth waiting for.
