2/9/13 Conway was welcomed into his
foster home at the end of December. Being the sweet, lovable boy he is, the
transition went very well. Conway enjoys snuggling, long walks/runs,
snuggling, eating, snuggling, playing and... more snuggling! He is friendly
with both female dogs and neutered, male dogs. Around children as young as
3, Conway is calm and collected. Being crated during the day when no one is
home works best for this energetic boy. His ideal family would be active in
giving him exercise and attention. Don't let his age sway your decision--
Conway is young at heart, very active, and full of energy! You will fall in
love with him! Hopefully, Conway will find wonderful parents to give him the
unconditional love he gives every day.

Conway has finally been given
a chance in foster and he is settling in really well! He is currently
in a home with a young female boxer and he is doing great with her.
Conway has also been to the dog park, where he had a chance to run and play
with a few other dogs. He is adjusting well to his new routine and
appears fully housebroken. Conway travels well in the car. He is
such a happy and loving boy. After several months in a kennel, he is
really enjoying the attention from his foster family and lots of snuggle
time. Conway is going to a great addition to a lucky family!
10/31/12
Conway has been at our kennel
a month already. He is scheduled to be neutered in two weeks, and we
would love for him to have a foster or forever home to recover in.
Conway charms all of his visitors at the kennel. He is such a loving
and well behaved boy. Apply today for Conway!
10/1/12
Conway was very well behaved
on his transport over the weekend. He traveled with no problems in several
different cars, whether he was crated or tethered in the backseat.
Conway loved meeting all the new people and had lots of kisses and wiggles
for everyone! He seems to know his basic commands and is quick to give
you his paw when he sits, hoping for a treat! Conway is currently at
our boarding kennel and in need of a foster home. Once he recovers from
kennel cough, Conway will be neutered and have his lump removed. Please
offer to foster or adopt this sweet boy so we can get him out of the kennel
and into a home as soon as possible!!

-
Conway is a male boxer who is estimated to be around 5-6 years of age.
Based on his body condition and long nails, this poor boy seems to have
suffered a life of neglect. He will be transported to rescue next weekend.
Conway is scheduled to be neutered and to have a few lumps removed. He will
then be in need of a foster home so he doesn't have to recover in a boarding
kennel. Conway was tested around female dogs of all sizes and did great. He
was a little too dominant with another intact boy and sadly, there were no
neutered males at the shelter to test him with. We are recommending a home
with no other dogs or just with female dogs at this time until we learn more
about him. Conway is very sweet with people and loves attention. He has
never been around children or cats. Please offer to help foster Conway! |

If you are interested in adopting this dog, please first read our Adoption Procedure,
by clicking on the link at the top of this page,
then fill out an
online application.
Boxers and Applicants
are not matched on a first come, first served basis.
Not all applications are approved. On average, it takes
between a week and 1 month to adopt a Rescue Boxer to an
approved applicant, depending
on your personal circumstances and flexibility.
Matching Boxers suitable for placement
with younger children, other dogs, cats, and special
needs, yours and theirs, increases the application review
time and adoption time.
And yes, we
realize that the Boxer you may have your heart set on, may be adopted
before you're approved. Should your first choices all ready
found their forever home, we want you to advise
us as to other dogs you are interested in at
Adoptions@AdoptABoxerRescue.com . Or let
us suggest a few that we feel will match your home.
That is what we are good at. And be happy for the
ones that have been placed... and know that there are way too many
fantastic dogs waiting in their place.
Our non-profit organization is wholly comprised of hard-working volunteers whose only reward is seeing our wonderful
Boxers placed in loving, permanent homes and given another chance for a happy life. Our process may seem slow, but if you are patient, we will try to provide you with a devoted, loving companion - a
Boxer.
We hope you feel that
the right Boxer is worth waiting for.
