11/3/12 Millie
is doing great....bottom line :).
She is currently living with both male & female Boxers. Millie has gained
some weight and is filling out nicely. She has some great house manners and
is completely house/crate trained. Millie also does well on the leash and
LOVES to walk - she looks forward to getting out every day. Millie loves to
play with toys. You can take her toys out of her mouth and she will
just sit and wait for you to give it back or throw it for her to fetch.
Millie loves to look out the window and just watch everything around her.
She doesn't bark unless the other gang really gets her going. Millie is
learning what it's like to be loved and is totally loving the 'great life.'
She is super eager to please you.
Millie has learned sit, stay, high five, and drop it. I have enjoyed
having Millie here as every day she seems to become more of the happy,
typical Boxer. I have noticed that her pictures are not doing her any
justice.....she is such a gorgeous girl with velvet like fur.
Millie loves getting dressed in clothes and she recently wore a raincoat
to the Vet as well as her Ravens Jersey. She was such a favorite and
everybody there loved her. She has met several kids and has been great with
them. Millie has recovered well from her surgery. She recently had a
follow up appointment with a cardiologist. Although Millie does have a
heart murmur and a small hole in her heart, the cardiologist indicated that
she should live a happy, normal boxer life. Millie has no symptoms of
heart disease and received a good report. She will need a follow up
visit in 18 months.
I would love for Millie to get a home with another dog & a fenced yard
for her to run and play. If you think you have a little extra room at the
bottom of your bed & you are looking for a great little girl, please apply
today for Millie.

Millie was used for breeding and went into labor
on Saturday. She
delivered one puppy at home, but then had complications. Millie was taken to
the emergency vet, where it was recommended that she receive an emergency
C-Section. The owners indicated they could not afford the surgery and were
just going to take her home to die. Thankfully, the vet's office was able to
work with the owners to have her relinquished to them, so they could
complete her surgery and find a rescue to help poor Millie.
None of the other puppies survived, but Millie is recovering well from
surgery and has now been spayed. She is reported to be great with
other dogs and has lived with a young child. Millie joined the AABR family
yesterday and arrived at her new foster home. She is underweight and needs
some TLC. Millie's foster mom will update her page as soon as she gets to
know her better. Apply today to provide a forever home for beautiful
Millie! |
