Look at this gorgeous girl!  Rosie has been in foster for a week now.  She is settling in and her sweet personality is starting to come through.  Rosie is still a little confused with all the changes in her life lately, but is learning to adapt.  Rosie is getting better with the crate and is completely housebroken.  Rosie is also learning to walk better on leash.  She is slightly fearful around new people, but warms up very quickly - especially if the new person has a treat to give her.  She does think she is a lap dog and will readily climb in anyone's lap and take a nap.  She is just a sweet, beautiful girl that deserves to finally find the family that is going to take care of her forever.  Please consider adopting Rosie!

Rosie is very timid and is not doing well at the boarding kennel.  At this time, Rosie would do best in a home without other dogs or with a submissive male and an experienced person that will take things slowly.  Rosie needs to lost some weight.  She should be placed on a good diet and receive consistent exercise to help get her back to where she should be.  If you are interested in fostering or adopting Rosie, apply today!

After two years in her home, Rosie is being returned to rescue to find a better match for her.  Rosie will be turning six years old on Monday.  She will be arriving at our boarding kennel right before her birthday and we would love nothing more than to give her the gift of a foster or forever family!

Included are some pictures of Rosie when she was in foster previously with AABR.  Her foster mom at that time reports that Rosie was one of the sweetest and most laid back girls she had met.  She did wonderful with the three other dogs in her foster home and with all the family members.  Rosie was housetrained and crate trained.

Rosie is waiting at the kennel.  If you are interested in providing a foster or forever home for Rosie, please apply today for this sweet girl!

11/2012 - Adopted

11/28/12 -

Meet Rosie - an absolutely adorable and easygoing boxer girl.  Rosie is being surrendered to AABR because of a change in family situation.  She is 4 years old and currently lives with another boxer and a small breed dog.  Rosie has been around grandchildren of all ages and is great with them.  She is crate trained and housebroken.  When Rosie met AABR's volunteer, she quickly climbed up in her lab to give kisses.  Rosie is going to be a wonderful addition to a lucky home.  Apply today to foster or adopt Rosie.

If you are interested in adopting this dog, please first read our Adoption Procedure, by clicking on the link at the top of this page, then fill out an online application.

Boxers and Applicants are not matched on a first come, first served basis. Not all applications are approved. On average, it takes between a week and 1 month to adopt a Rescue Boxer to an approved applicant, depending on your personal circumstances and flexibility.

Matching Boxers suitable for placement with younger children, other dogs, cats, and special needs, yours and theirs, increases the application review time and adoption time.

And yes, we realize that the Boxer you may have your heart set on, may be adopted before you're approved.   Should your first choices all ready found their forever home, we want you to advise us as to other dogs you are interested in at Adoptions@AdoptABoxerRescue.com .  Or let us suggest a few that we feel will match your home.  That is what we are good at.   And be happy for the ones that have been placed... and know that there are way too many fantastic dogs waiting in their place.

Our non-profit organization is wholly comprised of hard-working volunteers whose only reward is seeing our wonderful Boxers placed in loving, permanent homes and given another chance for a happy life. Our process may seem slow, but if you are patient, we will try to provide you with a devoted, loving companion - a Boxer.

We hope you feel that the right Boxer is worth waiting for.
