Beryl is still waiting for her chance at a foster or forever home.  This beautiful girl is still at our boarding kennel, and has now been there for a year and a half.  Although she gets lots of play time in the exercise yard and great care, Beryl urgently needs a home of her own.  She is looking for a home where she can be the one and only pet.  Beryl loves people and does well with children.  She would also do best in a secure, fenced yard - as she loves to run, play, and relax in her yard.  If you can be Beryl's hero, please apply for her today!

5/28/14

Beryl is a sweet brindle boxer mix who was found as a stray.  We believe she is around 3 years old.  She is a super happy, bouncy girl who loves to play with toys, go on walks, or just cuddle by your side.  Beryl loves people and will plant a wet kiss on you if you let her.

Sadly, Beryl has been living in a boarding kennel for a year and a half.  She desperately wants to get out and live the life she was supposed to live.  Beryl would make a great jogging companion and would benefit from a fenced yard.  She is a young girl, so will need daily exercise and some obedience training to help her shine.

Beryl would prefer to be the only dog in the home.  Please help us find Beryl the perfect adoptive or foster home.  This sweet girl needs out of the kennel.  If you can't foster or adopt, please share her story.

3/10/14

Beryl has been having a great time in the play yard at the kennel with her ball and running through the snow!  What she would love even more is to have her own home and family to spend time with.  Beryl has a lot of energy and would benefit from a fenced yard.  She is very sweet and would love nothing more than children to play with and people to spend time with her.  Below is a new video of Beryl.  Please apply to foster or adopt this sweet girl and help us get her out of the kennel!

We have discovered that Beryl loves playing in the snow.  Included are a few new pictures of Beryl having a great time in the play yard at the kennel while she waits for a new home!  She is a happy, energetic girl who would love a yard of her own to play in.

2/15/14

Beryl has now been in our boarding kennel for a year, and our hearts break for this beautiful girl.  As can be expected, she has regressed with her manners and just needs somebody to get her out of the kennel and into a home to give her a chance.  Beryl is a very sweet girl who needs room to run - a fenced yard would be ideal for her!  She has a lot of love to give to the person who is willing to take the time with her.  Beryl just doesn't want to share her home with another dog.  Please offer to foster or adopt Beryl!

12/09/13

Beryl has watched everyone come and go at the kennel, but is still waiting for her turn.  She would love to find a foster or forever family by the holidays!

11/23/13

Beryl participated in a photo shoot with "Photography by Ellen."  This sweet and energetic girl was able to get some Christmas photos taken in hopes of finding her a foster or forever home for the holidays.  She would do best as the only dog in the home, but she is great with people and just loves attention.  If you can be Beryl's hero, put your application in today!

8/4/13

Beryl was able to spend the day in a home on Saturday.  She is a wonderful dog with lots of love to give. Beryl enjoys playing ball in the yard and is a great "lap" dog. When we weren't playing outside, she was busy giving me lots of kisses. Beryl would make a great addition to your family and she deserves to get out of the kennel. Beryl would do best in a home as an only dog. This sweet girl doesn't deserve to sit in the kennel - she has been there since February. Please apply today for Beryl and help this wonderful girl get into a foster or forever home!

6/12/13

Beryl has been in the kennel since February and we would love to be able to find a foster or forever home for this sweet girl. Beryl finally got a day out of the kennel and the chance to attend Beltway Barks, an adoption event held last weekend. Beryl loved all the people that she met. Included are some updated pictures of her. Please offer to foster or adopt Beryl - she doesn't deserve to be in boarding for this long and would love nothing more than to get into her own home.

5/8/13

Beryl is an energetic girl who would love to get out of the kennel. She has been waiting for three months now and we aren't sure why. Beryl's skin has completely cleared up and she looks great! She needs some work on her leash manners and would love to have a fenced area to play in. Beryl is great with people and male dogs. Apply today to foster or adopt Beryl! Included are three new pictures from a recent visit by our volunteer and photographer (RussellBrammer.com).

4/6/13

Beryl's skin has completely cleared up and she was able to be spayed last week. Beryl is such a sweet girl and ready to get out of the kennel and into a loving home. She would do best in a home without female dogs, but has interacted well with the males she has been introduced with. If you can foster or adopt Beryl, apply today!!

2/3/13

Beryl was transported to rescue yesterday. She did great with all of the new people she met and traveled well in the crate. Beryl is an energetic girl who needs some work on her leash manners. She does appear to have eye and ear infections, which will be treated soon. Beryl is currently at our vet's office to be spayed and brought up to date on all vet care. She will then need a foster home! Apply today for Beryl.

1/27/13 -

If you are interested in adopting this dog, please first read our Adoption Procedure, by clicking on the link at the top of this page, then fill out an online application.

Boxers and Applicants are not matched on a first come, first served basis. Not all applications are approved. On average, it takes between a week and 1 month to adopt a Rescue Boxer to an approved applicant, depending on your personal circumstances and flexibility.

Matching Boxers suitable for placement with younger children, other dogs, cats, and special needs, yours and theirs, increases the application review time and adoption time.

And yes, we realize that the Boxer you may have your heart set on, may be adopted before you're approved.   Should your first choices all ready found their forever home, we want you to advise us as to other dogs you are interested in at Adoptions@AdoptABoxerRescue.com .  Or let us suggest a few that we feel will match your home.  That is what we are good at.   And be happy for the ones that have been placed... and know that there are way too many fantastic dogs waiting in their place.

Our non-profit organization is wholly comprised of hard-working volunteers whose only reward is seeing our wonderful Boxers placed in loving, permanent homes and given another chance for a happy life. Our process may seem slow, but if you are patient, we will try to provide you with a devoted, loving companion - a Boxer.

We hope you feel that the right Boxer is worth waiting for.
